pasalaska Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 I would like to quickly point out the benefit of the 'Ctrl+F' keyboard shortcut. It allows you to search for a word on a page... words that are in song titles... that have already been SotW. Please check your nominations before posting them here! And more importantly, if your nominated song has already been a SotW, don't hesitate in posting in that SotW thread, even if it hasn't been posted in in ages - you will not get in trouble for bumping SotW threads - we actually encourage it. now off to write SotW a day late I was moving okay don't be mad

Elena Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Castaway...i just love that song ...and it's the 11th anniversary of Warning today
classof12 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Only of you, 'cause it's, imo, one of the best songs from 1039/SOSH and it's actually the song that made me a Green Day fan
pasalaska Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 Only of you, 'cause it's, imo, one of the best songs from 1039/SOSH and it's actually the song that made me a Green Day fan Please search the list of songs that have already been SotW. http://www.greendaycommunity.org/index.php?showtopic=83017 Does no one know the Ctrl+F search function?
Sweet Armataged Chump Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Does no one know the Ctrl+F search function? I do. But does anyone try to find out if it's been sotw?
justcause Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 KMH in the Ninth Studio Album thread suggested that Christian's Inferno would be an interesting choice as Song of the Week, because it always seems to come up as the one people don't like on 21CB. I'd like to know why that is, and I think it could be a good discussion.
Elena Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Please search the list of songs that have already been SotW. http://www.greendayc...showtopic=83017 Does no one know the Ctrl+F search function? on my keyboard it's Strg+F...so yeah i know it
Grem Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Christian's inferno. It's not the best song, but it would be interesting to see people's opinions on it.

I think that's a very good reason.
greendaytone Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Well it's Nimrod's birthday next, how about one from that? I haven't checked the list, but how about Nice Guys Finish Last or All The Time. Or the all time classic Last Ride In?
Stephanie. Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I think we should do Last Ride In, the lyrics are really great.
Annie, get your gun Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 From Nimrod I pick Jinx (I love the "1,2,3!!") (I've read the list and it wasn't, right...?)
San Miguel Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 From Nimrod I pick Jinx (I love the "1,2,3!!") (I've read the list and it wasn't, right...?) I'd vote for Jinx. The 1,2,3,4 is one of the funniest things of all time, it's a good song off of Nimrod and doesn't look like it's had a thread before. The song i just listened to (which is amazing) is Espionage from Shenanigans but that'd be hard to write an article on, what with no lyrics etc..!
EJN Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Know Your Enemy. It's not my favorite but fter reading the "We are the desperate in the decline" editorial I started thinking how perfectly the lyrics on Breakdown fit the current time. "Violence is an energy" and "silence is the enemy" fit very well with Occupy Wall Street.
pasalaska Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 I agree, I vote for Are we the waiting? Read the first page.
Gwen Stacy Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I nominate Don't Wanna Fall In Love. I've been in a Shenanigans mood lately and the two different versions on both Shenanigans and the Dookie Demos should provide some interesting discussion.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 The Christian's Inferno SOTW has gone invisible or something... it's listed on the homepage as a topic last posted in, but it's not in Green Day chat and when I click on the link to the thread on the homepage, I get this. http://www.greendayc...inferno/unread/
Katarina. Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I think Christian's Inferno was over and is now turning into Last Night On Earth again.. Christian destroyed his own song's thread.
Annie, get your gun Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I'd like to vote for songs with harmonica, like Walking Alone or Hold On, but they already were sotw. So I'll vote for Minority (I look for it and it wasn't unless I haven't seen it, sorry if that's the case).
