[Christie's_Blvd.]

She's a Rebel:

P16: JOS/Jimmy, henceforth known as Josimmy, goes to his new little punk hang out and hears a fight in progress. He walks in and is shocked to see it's a girl beating up on a guy for trying to get in her pants. Josimmy has never seen such a fierce, confident girl with morals and such and is blown away. He becomes infatuated with her and believes she is the key to being a "real" punk and making exciting things happen. We see him following her around the house and studying her a bit, trying to work of his nerve.

Letterbomb:

P23: We see a wild party walking down the street, with two people making out and all sorts of substances being passed and Josimmy isn’t in on the action. He stands watching them leave from a window. (“nobody likes you everyone left you they’re all out without you having fun”)

P24: Post-party, Whatsername is walking around the house early in the morning, looking at all things that disappoint her in it. No revolution to be seen, just people stoned our of their mind and wasting away. See Josimmy asleep in a homemade shirt reading “Punk” while clearly proving that punk is a dead cliché in this house. Several other people are asleep draped over their living room furniture wearing almost identical outfits with drugs and booze littered all about. The guy who was making out with a girl is now with a scantly clad different girl as the original girl sleeps stained by mascara tears. An unemployment check on the table makes it clear that’s what they bought with it. (“Where have all the bastards gone”-”You better run for your fucking life”

P25: Whatsername is done. She packs her bags, and spray paints on the wall above Josimmy "You're not the jesus of Surbubia, St. Jimmy is a figment of, your father's rage and your mother's love, made me the idiot America. I can't take this place, I'm leaving it behind. I can't take this town I'm leaving you tonight" We see him wake up to paint dripping on his face and he reads it and breaks down.

Whatsername:

However, he opens a can of white paint and starts to wipe it all away, either A) leaving only “To live and not to breathes to die in tragedy” or B) Writing over the whitewash “Forgetting you but not the time” . What do you think?

Sorry I haven't been here In my last post I said my internet connection was being shitty but it turns out it was my computer so it's been fixed now but there was no way for me to get on here to say why I couldn't post the whatsername sketch ups I did. I now have a different problem, my scanner's been disconnected Because of the Christmas Tree we can't sort it out yet but I will find a way to get this stuff up, even if it means stealing my best friends camera to do it.

Now on to stuff you actually care about:

I would love so, so much to do all of Letterbomb but if anyone is desperate to do it then We can just share out the pages. My second choice would be She's A Rebel but yeah, Letterbomb would be ideal

With the Whatsername thing I think B would be best. It's the only thing left like it's the only thing he still really thinks about, it would also make a really cool last image - JOS's shadow on a white wall with 'forgetting you but not the time' written near it, do you think that'd be good?

Secondly I'd like Extrodinary Girl, if Christie doesn't want to share, I like the ideas in it got my brain thinkin'. Also, the whole "Brad" idea is pure genuis I can just see them lined up on either side of the hall in the apartment, in suits and raggity clothes with the yellow nimrod saying brad. That's just awesome!

I can't even remember who originally posted it but it was right back in the very early stages of planning and it's one of the only ideas that's been carried straight over. I think we've all got different ideas as to how that image should look so I think it's going to be interesting to see what the artist who takes that pieces interpretation of it will be

My intention is to let all serious artists take two portions anyway, so for now you can each claim two parts. Since you got to it first Christie you can have 25 for sure, I'll let you two decide what to do with the other segments.

Cool, thanks. I think us both doing p.24 and mashing the ideas together could work well. Also I have ideas for p.23 but will probably need help with it. I'm trying to get my casual Green Day friend to join the forum so that she could help us too. YES can't wait, I've already started sketching!

First off, wonderfully outlined! Makes it easy. I was wondering if I could perhaps do the St Jimmy pages? I have a few ideas visually based on your description, especially about the 'punk guise" bit. I've noticed most of the truest punks at heart are the least punk looking (had many good conversations with my fellow punks about it too), so maybe drawing his 'punk' friends trying to hard could be interesting. I know that I've been to shows where people who look very punk actually don't know anything about it- they just want to fit in. Though if no one else likes that, then I could do something different.

I know I haven't been around too much, but my only real question besides that is are there set character designs yet? Or is it sort of every artist does it how they want? Either is fine by me, but I want to make sure I draw them the right way.

Important Crap

Okay, this is general information anybody illustrating the story will need to know.

A) Character Design

• Jesus of Suburbia: a thin, unbuilt hispanic with stringy blue dreadlocks
  
• Suburbia Girlfriend: She's purdy slutty. Thin and wears clothes to show it off, with one too many rips. Bleachy hair with roots showing and fading pink dye
  
• St. Jimmy: Angry red liberty spikes in hair, various facial piercings
  
• Whatsername: Natural dark red hair, somehwat poofy and frizzy and shoulder length. Curvy body, (think Kerplunk), but confident no less
  

B) What the hell's the deal with St Jimmy?

After a long throurough discussion, we decided that Jimmy would be like an imaginary friend character to JOS. He is appearant to him but no one else, and this is appearant in some scenes where he can be seen interacting and exerting influence over JOS but the other characters act oblivious to this.

C)What do I need in my segment?

In your illustration segments you need to show the action either via interpritive art or comic-style story-showing, and the lyrics need to find their way in there. Not nescesarrily ALL of them, but remember they are the heart of the story line. They can be put in a bar beneath your picture, written in the backround, or whatever other creative ideas you come up with. You can also add speech bubbles and boxes of story telling text aside from the lyrics if you feel it helps explain the story to the fullest.

D)I want to participate...now what?

All serious artists may claim up to two segments to illustrate. (They dont have to be congruent) I encourage you to communicate regularly on here with the other people doing your song and with us so we know what awesome things you're doing!

Haven't been here for a while but I'd like to help still.As I already said I'm not sure if I can draw human good enough but I'll try some layouts today ...if they are good enough I'd like to draw Whatsername or Boulevard of Broken dreams ...

I'm not sure if this would work but maybe ,if someone wants to draw these too ,I could draw the scenery and he/she the people..i'll post some layouts for Jos and the rest soo so you can tell if you like them or not..

Welp, no, no size limit. Generaly I'd encourage you to make it bigger for more quality, but do whatcha do.
