Billie said himself last year, "I love my life, I love my band, i'm the happiest boy in the world" - so you don't need to worry XD. Sure he was depressed back then, but he must be doing something right these days.

That was quite a cool interview, I don't think I've read it before, thanks for posting.

It seems like pages are missing or something, it's like the pages are cut off mid-sentence and there is no follow up to it.

The Insomniac period. :(

Still, so refreshing to hear someone being completely honest like this.

Awww, I need to read this when I have time... That's really sad, poor Billie =/

i knew that was i difficult time for him, but when i read this i really realised how bad it really were... another time, i get to see that hes just a person, and not some kind of superhero... im just glad that he got over it , and that hes now happy again.

thanks a lot for sharing!! I'll read it as soon as I get time.

Thanks for posting :)

It was a bit sad to read this interview, we know that he has had hard times, and the Insomniac era was probably the hardest time of is life. I'm glad to know that now he's fine with is popularity and with playing in arenas.

I've read this before, it's such an interesting interview but saddening to read of course. It really isn't often you see someone being so totally honest and open in an interview, I admire him a lot for it.

I've read this, it's pretty sad. But he did talk about this particular interview a few years later and basically said he was having a bad day, he had the flu and he was just feeling run down. I'm glad he feels better about himself now.

Oh I didn't know about that! I mean I know it was a difficult time but he seemed SO extremely sad in this interview, so it's a relief to hear that.

This just made me appreciate him as a musician much more.

And it's cool that I was born in '96, their depressed era.

Thanks for this

I cant believe how similar this is to so many Kurt Cobain interviews. I know there are references to Cobain in there but things when Billie was talking about not enjoying playing music anymore or his hatred of people and even just the negative attitude throughout seem very similar to how Cobains interviews were. It's great how he seems to live to play music and preform now :)

It was intersting to read to how they didn't promote Insomniac as much to try and get rid of some of the "Bandwagoners" from Dookies Popularity. Sraight away it got me thinking did something similar happen with 21CB (not to the same scale) . I know they did interviews and did promote the album but not nearly to the same degee as with AI. Were they trying to get rid of some of the Bandwagoners from AI's popularity too

Thanks for posting that :) It's quite sad though, but it really reinforces what down to earth guys they are which is partly why I love them so much.

that was kinda sad. but a good read. im glad they didnt quit and kept making kick ass music.

but i understand how it would be weird if you got more or less an overnight success. from being so used to being a small band.
