2010 Grammy Performance

I was watching it with my parents, and as soon as the girl started singing my Mom was like "I love it!!" and she ended up liking it better than the original. But mom and I both loved the performance. I thought it was really good. I didn't know what to expect at all, but I really liked it. I do kind of agree with Billie Joe's voice being drowned out at the end though.

My dad's contributions to the performance conversations were more like:

*Billie Joe's on screen*

Dad: Man, he's ugly.

Mom: She thinks he's divine.

Dad: Serious???

Me: Well... I believe the more recent term I used was adorable... but I'm sure I've said divine at some point in time, yes.

*Tre's on screen*

Dad: WOAH! He gained a tonne of weight!! He's fat now!

Me:

Mom: I'd have to agree.

Dad: How much do you think he gained? Twenty pounds? Thirty pounds?

Me: I haven't really tried to estimate...

Mom: Yeah, twenty or thirty looks about right.

Me: Does that even matter? Honestly.

Yeah I thought it was funny how at the end you can see that Billie's signing but you can't hear him. The only thing that annoyed me about the performance was the way must of the cast were a bit plonked. They blocked my view of Tre for most of it.

I'm glad they one best album rather than just best song because their album is wayyyy more amazing than just 21 Guns

On tumblr there was someone at the grammys posting random updates and one of them was that "1/3 of Green Day didn't observe the dress code"

Mike's being rebelious with his lack of tie. I never knew the Grammy's had an official dress code.

Billie looked so funny when he was trying to get closer to the female singers. He actually looked like he wanted to get with one of them. HAHA.

Oh & I was talking to my friend today and she was like, when they accepted their award I was so confused because their row was like grunge guy, grunge girl, grunge guy, BLONDE BOMBSHELL, grunge guy. I'm like yeah, that's Mike's wife .

is it really bad that I get as excited to see Adrienne as the band? My friend says she looks like Evanescence, but I think she's gorgeous.

I'm think it's because the ones they hand out are fake just for show and then they send the real thing to them later, Just in case. Like if some crazy person trys to steal one at the show, all they'll get is a decoy.

Plus The real ones would probably weigh a lot and be a hassle.

I have a friend that is obsessed with the jonas brothers and justin beiber I have been trying to convince her that Green Day is better since september. She was texting me while watching the grammy's and first she wrote "oh god green day's performing" then after the performance she wrote "i actually loved that performance!" then "i'll admit green day is good" and finally, when they were accepting their award, "yay! green day!"

I enjoyed the performance, i would have preferred a different song since they did 21 Guns at the ama's, but i think it's great that they're promoting the musical so much and that they gave the people in the musical a chance to perform at the grammy's.

I really liked the interaction he had with the cast. You can tell he wanted to impress them...which is funny, considering it's HIS/Green Day's song, yet to me, it felt like the other way around. I really hope he's proud of the work they've done.

I just flipped on E! and they're doing the "Fashion Police" show for the Grammys. They just got to Green Day and they were saying they didn't like to look at the guys because their eyes are "scary".

Nobody even really commented other than they "didn't really" like how they were dressed. It was like they were afraid to say something bad, lol, which is hysterical, because they are the three least "scary" guys on the planet!

And I think they looked absolutely fantastic. I LOVED Billie's "all black" look, loved his tie, loved Mike's jacket, Tre... is Tre, and I'd expect nothing less than a striped blazer from him.

IMO, they looked GREAT.
