jose armstrong Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Really? My dad has a much higher quality turntable, I should try using his.Ahem. I have Sgt. Pepper, The White Album, Abbey Road, and a vinyl-only compilation called Hey Jude. I believe I win.are we talking about all the vinyls we own?I was saying sgt pepper and abbey road just to mention 2 amazing onesin that case my Revolver pawns all of your collection by itself
Jimmy Strummer Posted August 30, 2009 Author Posted August 30, 2009 No, we're talking about the troubles with turntables. And I'm pretty sure we've established that the problem is with my turntable and that I'm returning it and getting a better model. For all of your reference, don't get a Crosley CR711 Autorama.

Jimmy Strummer Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Yay, problem solved. A customer support rep from Crosley (the company that makes my turntable) emailed me today and said the problem was the needle, not the turntable. And since my turntable's under warranty, they're sending me a free replacement needle!!! WOO!!
Isabel Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I bought the Dookie vinyl recently but I haven't opened it yet I was in such shock when I saw it in Tower Records, I bought it without even thinking.

My turntable is something called a Thomas Museum Series--it was gathering dust in my basement before I claimed it, so I have no idea if it's under warranty. It's an excuse to a new better turntable, just what I was looking for!
