LouLou Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I'm going to the Denver one with my mom. I'm kind of making her go. I'm gonna end up going to like 6 shows, so I wanted her to go with me to one. I love my mom and just want to share the experience with her.
Muttweed182 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Well luckily I have my big brother that will basically see anyone with me he doesn't deem gay and luckily he doesn't deem Green Day gay so he's going jam with me in the pit.
Jack96 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Do it why would you not go if you didnt go there would be something wrong with you
sydneygirl Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Well my 15 year old son will be going to see Green Day with his mum - ME! I'm the big GD fan in the family and I'm dragging HIM to the show (him and hubby).

nimrod-41 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I'm going with both my parents and my brother... They all like Green Day, so why not?It will still be amazing.
Prisca Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Yeah, I mean, why not? My mom went with me to see Green Day on their AI tour and she had no clue who they were. Once they started playing 'King for a Day' she went insane! In the end, she said she had a great time and she told all her friends how amazing they are live! Haha funny thing is now that she recognizes Billie's voice, randomly she would call me on the phone and would tell me to put it on a certain radio station and sure enough-- it was a Green Day song! XD
Pineapple Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 i would have gone if i was you, dont be selfish if its the only way to go i would goi dont care who i would have to go with to get a ticket id do it.

Ayame Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I would never, ever go to a Green Day concert with me.First of all, she doesn't know them, and second, if she even hears a 'fu-', she'd drag me out of the concert.
jake smith Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 your choice but i definatly wouldn't. just because she wont let me do owt
dookiak Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I would have chopped off a pinky to have my mother, anyone really, take me to see them back in the day.. but no one did. I had to wait until Warning tour
Pati. Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I would go with my mother but the question is would my mom want to go with me? I went with her to a Nightwish concert because none of my friends like Nightwish so she went with me.We were in the fan pit and I was crazy of happiness and she was just standing there and kept repeating: Jesus, why did I have to go with her, why, why?? And when the concert was over she said: I will never ever go with you to a concert of a band you like.Especially not Nightwish.(Even though she said she likes Anette) And then I just for fun asked her if Green Day will ever come here would she go with me to their concert and she said :I don't like Green Day,Nightwish and all the satanic music you listen to so the answer is no.(Even if she said yes I wouldn't go with her because me and my best friend both like GD so I would go with her )
watsername182 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I don't think my mum would go with me even if I paid her to.
Luci_Minority Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I'll go with my mom and my brother!! She likes Green Day
Lauren Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I don't know what to do. I'm going to Philly with my cousin who's 45, but he's getting a seat and his son is GA with me... he's 16 and that should be fun.I'm going to DC with my brother-in-law, who's 28, and he likes punk and is used to concerts so that'll be fun, too.But as for Las Vegas... my parents won't let me go by myself, and no one else can take me but my mom or dad. I have two GA tickets...They are 48 and 61, HATE Green Day, and once they see the stuff Billie Joe does on stage... boy am I in for it... :/
4whatsername8 Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I'm sorry you can't go - bummer and all. I think we're in the same boat this time around, since my rents wouldn't let me see one of the out of state shows due to cost and all. Hypothetically, though, if you had gone, I would recommend taking mommy (especially since you weren't exactly of that area)! It's not that bad. For instance, I saw this one underground band called Trendy with my mom at some really small club in my area. Sure, she was freaking out after I made out with the lead singer BUT other than that, she was cool with it. So, yup, it's possible to have a fun night with your mom (even at a concert)!
greendaytone Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I'd actually quite like to take my Mum and Dad to see Green Day. They like some of their songs from hearing me and my bro constantly listen to them over the years. They take an interest in them because of it, and it would be cool to show them how good a Green Day concert is!
Nova-Caine Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 ^^ That would be brilliant wouldn't it Tony? I'd love to do that too, then maybe my parents would 'get me' a little bit more
greendaytone Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 ^^ That would be brilliant wouldn't it Tony? I'd love to do that too, then maybe my parents would 'get me' a little bit more It would be cool. I think seats would be best for them, not sure they'd like the mosh pit! I think my parents already have a pretty good idea of what they're like, but the live experience would def help to 'get it' a bit more, like you say!
**nobodylikesyou** Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I should take my whole family then they MIGHT finally understand me!!!
