Fulano Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 It's a shitty thing. If my mom would go to a concert with me i would cant enjoy it...sorry for my fucking bad english
Ila Reto Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 if your mom is cool, then go for it. If your mom is like my mom, who hates the band, screamed at you for 2 hours when you got the album, and has held the fact that you chose them as your favorite band against you for almost 4 years, and then says "you can go to a concert if you stay in your seat and i sit next to you". then fuck no. thats why im not going. this may be one of their last tours, and im not even going. i hate her so much, she does stuff like this to me all the time, thats why i can't go to parties, thats why i dont talk to many people, thats why i lose all my friends. but anyway, moral of the story is if she's not going to smother and restrict you while you're there, it's fine.
Sharmellow Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 If your mom is like my mom, who hates the band, screamed at you for 2 hours when you got the album, and has held the fact that you chose them as your favorite band against youOh god, when I bought both the limited edition booklet with the CD and the regular album, she totally flipped. And she absolutely hates the fact that they're my favorite band. I'm like, leave me alone Mom, it's my money and my choice in music.

MusicGrl1986 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Sure, why not? I'm going to see Green Day with my mom in July. If you and your mom get along okay and you two can stand to be around each other for a couple of hours, than why not go? Who knows, maybe your mom will enjoy the show and become a Green Day fan.
Seedless_Reject Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I went with my mom, my little brother, and a friend to the American Idiot tour. She bought two extra tickets and didn't want to waste them. Sure she made her comments, especially when Billie humped the floor during King For a Day and did the whole "hand down his pants" thing, but it was still fun to have her there.
Dookie93 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I'm going to see them in July with my mother, she's loves Green Day as much as I do so it'll be fun
Bonnie_gd Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 go with your mum it will still rock, but when you go try to either bring one of your friends or even bring one of your mom's friends so she doesn't keep trying to talk to you while your trying to enjoy the concert!!!
lindzy Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I went to my first concert with my mom. And she did have Dookie. Until I stole it. I might ask her to come with me this summer.
Katherine Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I'm going to the Albany show with my mom, she's not going to be in the pit with me though, she has a seat. My mom isn't one of those tight-ass stuffy moms, she's cool and she loves Green Day, plus we're really close. But she's making my brother come with my friend and I in the pit, either cause I'm tiny or she doesn't trust me THAT much.
jose armstrong Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 UGH, my mom, bitch is too cheap for her own goodor is she?
Bob4775 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 this may be one of their last toursnoooooooooo! dont even say that!
perfectpitchrob Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 unless your mother is a HUGE fan of punk rock, definitely not.
Fulano Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 unless your mother is a HUGE fan of punk rock, definitely not.I have a friend named Dalet, her mom is punk. But she hates green day...But her daughter love xD
ImnotaDrIjustPlayOneOnTV Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 On the flip side, my kids are only going to one Green Day show with me and their 14 & 17. The other two I am attending are with my 21 and over friends. A lot of moms like Green Day, as you probably know from a lot of the members that post here. I guess my point would be though most of you have moms older than me, a lot of them were still young enough to enjoy Green Day when Dookie came out like I did. I just never outgrew them that's all.
Robin105 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I'd go with my mom. My mom likes a few GD songs but I don't have to worry about it because she doesn't want to see them anyway. She did say Billie wasn't bad looking. I was in shock when she said that. I'm going with my boyfriend to both shows. Gonna be the best 2 nights of my life especially the 2nd night. 3rd row behind the mosh pit! The first night 10 rows behind
tuwlol Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 My mom would probably hate it but I'd go with her anyway if that's the only way I could go.I mean come on, it's Green Day! ..I'd rather go with my dad though. He likes Green Day.
Tulve Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Well, I personally wouldn't have a problem with going to GD concerts with my mommy.I've never gone to a concert without her. I take her to all my meet-and-greets too. We know that concerts are "special", and I'm allowed to scream out stupid ass shit.Like, for example, during my last Papa Roach show, I yelled out "Take your pants off!", and of course, my mom laughed, but because of the place we were, she didn't get angry or punish me.
Jaymee!! Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I personally would never, EVER go to ANY sort of concert with my mom, or hardly anything for that matter.
Pan. Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I'm going with my mom to the GD show if she feels like it, haha..... She loves Green Day. =D
Tulve Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I personally would never, EVER go to ANY sort of concert with my mom, or hardly anything for that matter.I took my mom to meet Buckcherry. lmfao
GreenDayaremyGods Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I went with my mom to my first Green Day show in 05' and it was great. Even though we were in completley different sections :/
Velocity Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I personally would never, EVER go to ANY sort of concert with my mom, or hardly anything for that matter.This.
gd86arg Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 where is the dilema? the arenas are big, you can lose your mum and found she in the end of the concert, like I did when I went to Soda Stereo's concert at River Plate Stadium a few years ago...
