we have to apparently go SHOPPING in London , some sale is on :(

Someone who can afford to go from Singapore, I think you said, to New York, to London, doesn't need to take advantage of a sale. That would be like Donald Trump crossing a highway to get a stray dollar, though with all of his recent stupidity I'm sure he would.

petrina, sorry to see that after such a long trip and being thisclose you can't make it work out.

Well, my answer WOULD have been...I'm a mom and I'm taking my 16 and 12yo sons. It'll be my first GD show and when I mentioned I absolutely had to see them this time, both boys begged to go along. My husband is going as well so its a family outing. It all depends on your 'rents I guess - your mom would have been fine, I bet.

Well actually I AM going with my mom and I'm fine with that, because I have to admit that my mom is pretty cool. :D To be honest I'm jealous, she has seen bands I can't see live anymore. (The Clash for example.)

And she'll stand a few rows behind me anyway, because I'll meet also a few other persons there.

I don't know your mom, so I can't tell of course. But I think I would do a lot to see Green Day so, if there's not another option, take your mom with you.

I would go with my mum on the concert, I even asked her to come with me  But she turned it down :/

My mum and I have been alot on conserts together :D

I'm going with my mom to see them. I got her into them.

the first time i saw them i was thirteen and my mom wouldn't let me go without her, so she came and i still had an amazing time. it doesnt really make a lot of difference except i cant imagine most parents being thrilled with being in the pit...

If it was me, I'd go.

Its still a GD concert :)

awww sorry bout that :(

I'm going to see Green Day on the 30th October with a friend and on the 31st October with my mum. I'm not bothered about getting embarrassed because of my mum lol. It'll be darkish and everyone will be occupied with having a good time anyway so no one will care :D .

I just hope she's not planning on looking like a pumpkin or something on halloween  lol

xo

im going to the show on halloween as well with my mum. i hadnt even thot about the whole dressing up thing but knowing her, well, if you see a woman in a monster costume and a very embarrased teenager its me :D

My mum wanted to come with me cause she loves Green Day, but she hates loud music so would have hated it. I don't understand her.

But nah I'd definatly go with her, especially if it was a choice of that or not seeing them at all. Sorry you're not able to any more but you never know they might go to Singapore :)

It'll still be awesome.

i went with my mother to the AI tour and i am going with her to this 1 we cant wait we goin on31 oct so we goin fancy dress i am 24 and av always gone out with my mother woooooop i am goin on 30th with my boy friend also and i have wembly tickets but no 1 to go with yet as io 1 will travel down with me *sulks*

In that case, your grammar and/or typing abilities should be much better than this.

yeah sure i would. it's up to her if she wants to come now though. xP

I am. I have 2 tickets, one for me, and one claimed by my mum, partly because she bought them, partly because she wants to see them only a little less than me. I don't mind. I saw 30 Seconds to Mars with her because she got the tickets through her work (they were sold out to the public by then) and it really doesn't make much difference when youre there. I broke away from her at 30stm when they came onstage, though we are sitting for GD. You're watching the band, not the company your with, just enjoy the rock show.

hahaha i read the title and yelled " Hey I am going with my mother!" hehe

personally i wouldn't go any where with my mother....she'd cause far too much of a scene.

My mum hates Green Day.

Way back in 2005 my parents took me and my bestfriend to see them in Hartford because we were pretty young then. Now four years later, they don't have to go with me. They want to. Ever since that first concert my parents have been major Green Day fans. It was even my Mom's idea to go see Green Day in Central Park. They'll also be coming with me and my bestfriend to the next Green Day show in Hartford and they're just as excited as we are.

I would NEVER ever go to a concert with my mother. I'd rather not go than have to go with her.

I went to see Busted and Westlife with me maw. Only because she fancied them and so did I, and so i didn't get trampled on deranged fan girls.

Why?

Why?

'Cause not everyones Mum is as cool as yours.

Why?

Idk, I never liked the idea of my parents knowing the kind of music I listen to the most. For some reason I feel awkward with her knowing the extent to which Green Day matters to me. And if I were to go with her I'd feel like I wouldn't be able to really do what I want because...well she'd be right there watching. I'd feel restricted.

Besides, I'm not exactly close to my parents anyway.

I can understand that in your case. I'm guessing yours is Scottish...

Actually mine is English. She's from Nottingham. Sorry boy.

Never thought of it like that, I guess because my mum was loving the first fave of punk and all, everything now just 'reminds [her] of the first time round'. My Dad doesn't really care what I listen to though, and I'm not that close to my parents, but I dunno, I guess everyone has a different relationship with their folks.

So you're not proper Scottish? Maybe there is hope for you!
