Guitar4Girl Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I'm going with my Mum to see Green Day play Wembley. She also knows her way round London alot better than I do. It's also my first concert, i I were you then i'd rather have my Mum come with me and see Green Day rather than not see them at all

petrina_678 Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 I CANT GO OK well i think my decision has been made up for me, we will be leaving NYC a few days before any of the concerts, its because we need to go to london for something. Anyways feel free to discuss if you would go with your own mother... But thanks everyone. I think i would have gone if i were there
Laura! Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 If you don't have a big chance to go otherwhise then go with her! I think you'll have fun either way. You might regret not going if you don't even though its with your mom.

You couldn't persuade you Mum to stay a few more days in NYC?
whizzingbullet Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Oh I'm sorry to read that you couldn't stay. As for me, I would NEVER go with Mum. She hates Green Day to pieces, and only Green Day. Haha! But otherwise, I'd go. When Mum comes with me on concerts, I always forget she's there and go wild.
petrina_678 Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Sorry to hear that. You couldn't persuade you Mum to stay a few more days in NYC?we have to apparently go SHOPPING in London , some sale is on damn i love green day more than shopping
Radioactive1 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Don't go to London, its shite lol.I'm sorry you couldn't go If any oppotunity came to to see Green Day I'd take it, even if it meant taking my Grandma with me.
jme babs Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I have brought my mum to almost every concert I have been too. I'm now 21 years old and she has not been to a concert with me in a while. The last one was New Kids on the Block in March. Her next one will be the two Green Day shows we will see in Florida, and she is willing to possibly fly back home to see them in Boston. She has been to EVERY Green Day show with me. We went to al the ones in MA, and she even took my friend and I out of our first day of Senior year to Hartford, CT to see them. At UMASS Amherst she got us a hotel and waited in line, in the pouring rain from 11AM to 7PM while my friend and I tried to stay warm by a heater. She even came with us to NYC when we got to go to TRL when she had food poisoning. Just recently me and her went to NYC to wait outside Saturday Night Live to see them and we did! They walked by her coming down the escalator and she said that was the only time she was ever shocked. She could not believe Green Day was walking by her! Haha. With that a guy from SNL gave us tickets to the dress rehearsal and we got seated right by where they perform. Since that was a fail of a day trying to get a picture with them she was willing to go back AGAIN when they were on the Colbert Report. She waited in line all day while a friend I met and I waited for them to come out. My mum is AWESOME. She loves Green Day. Her favorite song is 'Whatsername" and she loves the video for 'Warning'. She also loves when Billie touches himself during 'Hitchin' a Ride' HAHAI know this is super LONG but I hate when people think its stupid when kids bring their parents to shows. She brought me to shows because I was young and couldnt go by myself, and I wouldnt want to go by myself anyways. She doesnt mind and LOVES Green Day! my mum in I in line for SNL...ignore her crazy hair...it was a long day!
blc Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 My Dad came with me and my three friends to see Green Day aaages ago. Definitely go with your Mum!
DeJennsitized Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I wouldn't really want my mum there...I think mostly because I'd be afraid of losing her and having her crushed in the mosh pit; plus her bad leg would limit her ability to stand for long periods of time. And to be honest she doesn't really like Green Day anyway. Plus I don't think she would approve of Billie's behaviour dring the show.
longview_paradise Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I went with my father 4 years agosame here. i went with my dad and he loved it. i guess it all depends on how much your mom is into the music and the "stunts" they pull on stage... like during the AI tour when Billie Joe would do the King for a Day grab down his pants... my dad wasn't too sure about that one
Beathe. Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I've been to a GD concert with my mom it's no big deal. You don't have to stand next to her during the concert at all. Your mom will probably stay out of the moshpit, so you can just stand there and have the time of your life.
chewychorizo Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I would never go anywhere like that with my mum, 'cause she's a complete bitch, and anyway her music taste is disgusting. But if it's good for you then a'ight.
whatsmyname_jimmy Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Go with ur mum, might turn out to be more fun than u thought (:
AnnaMon07 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I'm going to see Green Day on the 30th October with a friend and on the 31st October with my mum. I'm not bothered about getting embarrassed because of my mum lol. It'll be darkish and everyone will be occupied with having a good time anyway so no one will care . I just hope she's not planning on looking like a pumpkin or something on halloween lolxo
virysya Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Go with your mother!!!!It is a Green Day concert!!!It is your favorite band's concert for god's sake!!!!
Guitar4Girl Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 we have to apparently go SHOPPING in London , some sale is on damn i love green day more than shoppingFor me a green day concert would be more important than shopping. Seems wierd that they haven't played at all in Singapore, I would have thought they would :/ I hope you work something out.I was going to see the guys in the US if I went on holiday there but I think we're going to have to book it last minute.
punkfunkdisco Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Oh, sucks that you can't go anyway. I hope they play Singapore soon for you
Green Jay Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I'm going with my girlfriend, then to a different show with my Mother, it's fine to go with parents imo.
minorityxdisturbed Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I'm going to a Green Day concert with my father and with my uncle so it will be interesting and funny to see how they sing like me xD so you can go with your mother you will have a great time
