Starbug Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Ok, so my Foxboro Hot Tubs Long Beach experience:Dude, that was BEAUTIFUL! I really enjoyed reading that, you're so lucky! lol Getting to hug and be near Billie Joe so much must've been surreal. I can see how it was worth all the money and the time and the miles. Seeing them was a beautiful experience, and you got to see them TWICE Good on you :wink:I'm so glad they're good to their fans. I've never read of an encounter where they were assholes to somebody, and that's great. I love how BJ puts it in BIAB, how he is Green Day, and when people talk to him only because he's in Green Day, he doesn't mind. Because that's who he is. And he's right, and that's lucky for us that he feels that way. I can't wait to meet him, and I will one day, no doubt
Nimrod99 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Wow a bit to catch up on. As for Angus, I heard about it because of Green Day. I wanted to watch it anyway because it seemed like it would be an interesting movie (I'm all about rooting for the underdog). As for the story about meeting the band (and playing on BIAB), that's pretty cool. And I agree with you Starbug. Green Day is really good to their fans. I really like that they don't act like pompus asses because they're famous. I too would like to meet them one day.

I loved the movie, I haven't seen it in yeeears, makes me wanna see it again. And I think they were trying to win GD tickets from a radio station, if I remember correctly? They had to call in when they heard that GD song, so yeah, they were kinda 'in' it lol

goodday Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Pretty cool stories guys, it was nice to read them! Im a veteran too, I got into them since that the first album came out and love these guys a lot! I don't have stories cause they came here to a show just once and at that point I was very away from the city where they played (Brazil is hugeeee) and couldn't be there but since I joined GDC years ago I have been sharing a lot about their shows with some friends here  Its very exciting too!!
sharon mitchell Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I see Tony is getting his own little fan club going here! Can I make a claim to be be a veteran fan of his as well? I met him and his brother Karl for the first time on November 6th, 2005, just before BIAB came out.
Hermione Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 There's some great stories in here, very enjoyable. I think I'll call myself a future veteran of Green Day. on a slightly related topic i saw this video where they get people to act out the song on stage.Oh how wonderful, never seen that one before.
