Starbug Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 And yeah, I don't drink much anymore, but I'd be willing to knock back a few at a GD gathering. Man, this makes me wanna have one!
Naked and Famous Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Damn damn damn I have a lot of GD stuff, too, but not that much. That, again, is impressive My most prized GD possession is my Tre Cool autographed 45. I framed it w/ my FHT ticket stub. When I'm not about to go to bed, I'm gonna write my encounter w/ Mr. Tre Cool in here. It's my favorite memory And I also have a Hard Rock poker chip from the night they played there, w/ them on it. Weird, I know, but I like weird things. If I could afford that hard hat, I'd SOOO buy it lolPoker chip = Hella cool I'm very excited to hear about the Tre encounter!! ~ I've yet to meet him, & I'd so very much love to one day I don't drink much, either, but I'd definitely be down for a GD vet party lol

The hat sounds very cool indeed, but my broke ass can't afford shit at the moment. I don't drink that much, I'm a lightweight... and I only drink at home. Wouldn't it be cool to get together for a GD concert, then have the party... I go for that. lol.

We all live too far a part to go to the same concert I'm probably going to Nashville if they go there again, and/or Houston w/ the best friend. Maybe even DC or VA. Dunno. Depends on where they're going and when.
Naked and Famous Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 That would be epicly brilliant But it'll probably never happen.Indeed lolYea, I'll be giddy to know I can go to one show heheETA : I gotta go to bed! Have a good one, everyone
Nimrod99 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 See, we gotta make that concert a special occassion... it's the excuse to get up to the area for the party. lol. Who knows what the future will bring. Would be fun though. Edit: Have a good night Naked and Famous.
Starbug Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Yeah, I'm out, too... Naked and Famous, what's your name? lolI'm Angie Sleep tight, all my sweet Green Day geeks!

Naked and Famous Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 (I'm such a horrible procrastinator...Damn my ADD )It would definitely be fun Maybe we could try to figure something out...lolG'nite Angie (that was one of my friends' names in high school heh) & "Nimrod"My name's Lia, by the way

sharon mitchell Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 1994.I tuned into an American radio station on a world band radio and heard Basket Case. I was totally hooked from that moment on. Do I qualify?

924Nimrod Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 It's not that hard to cram in 13 years worth of music if you really try.Shit... I was four when Dookie came out and I can remember being in my old brothers room looking through his baseball cards and Garbage Pail Kids cards while Dookie was playing on his stereo. It don't think it really matters how old you are, just as long as you can remember it.
greendaytone Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Nice topic! I was in Hong Kong when Dookie came out and i heard Basket Case on this pirate compilation CD, but i later came to find out it was someone else singing and ripping it off! Never the less, i acquired Dookie on cassette and it was in my walkman for well over a year non stop. We even studied the song 'She' in my English class when we were asked to bring in our music to analyse the lyrics. I remember my teacher being impressed with the imagery. That was about the time a lot of my friends were already 'moving on' from Green Day, but not me. Since then its just grown and grown. Seeing them live in the Nimrod era was when it really took off for me.
Mayra Vicious Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 wow, this topic was popular Something I've miss? Oh well, I still have the memories from the consert they had in my country in 94/95, cos it was the only time I saw them :/

GD just stuck w/ me, their lyrics always touched me, and I stuck w/ them.wow, this topic was popular Something I've miss? Oh well, I still have the memories from the consert they had in my country in 94/95, cos it was the only time I saw them :/This topic is way more popular than I expected lol

My candle was going low, but the flame never burned out (ha! that's so cheesy).
The Disappearing Boy Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 ive only been a fan for 3 years, but i would hope that i remain a fan (and a meber here) for a long while to come as yet.
Greenday_Aussie Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Yeah it seems the majority of people have moved on from GD, biggest two reasons here (at my school) 1) Their "Gay" 2) Radio killed Green Day (kinda true)Its just a shame they didnt "overkill" JOS as much as AI, WMUWSE and BOBD
