Parley Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I was VERY excited and happy each time I went to see them live, but that's about it. Never cried over Green Day.
Guest give me novacaine-jos Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 ^^i cry very often when i listen to their songs or see some videos...
asknomore Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Well I cried watching Time Of Your Life on BIAB, but that's pretty much it. I can get happy and stuff, but no crying really. Except Time Of Your Life.
Guest give me novacaine-jos Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 ^^i always cry when i see jos video clip....
greendaygrl93 Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Not like upset, but I do get emotional sometimes with Green Day. Like, sometimes when I think about all they've done and accomplished and have remained such awesome guys - yeah, I do get a little choked up.Time of Your Life gets me choked up now and then too - that song is really special to me.
Celes Chere Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Time of your life makes me happy, everytime I listen to it I smile because of how it starts
adelineidiot Posted July 8, 2008 Author Posted July 8, 2008 ^^i always cry when i see jos video clip....oh,no,starts again !!! 13...haha!
minority_jaded Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Well the memories attached to the songs do bring back memories but I've never been moved to tears by their showmanship during concerts or any of their songs... I can't say the same about the boredom felt when Snoop Dogg took the stage at Projekt Revolution one year.
Ila Reto Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 eh, these guys just pour salt in my wounds. i already know im gonna start crying durring give me novacaine and whatsername tonight. i already did while listening to Shenanigans. i can't seem to make it through a full album anymore. i end up shutting it off half-way through. i got pissed at it and started mumbling "fucking green day, all i've got is fucking green day. i hate them. fuck you!" yea, im not too good lately. heh.

Most of the time when music depresses me it can be- Bloc Party (memories of people I miss)- Deadlock (reminding me that people suck)- HIM (makes me feel alone and lovesick)- Leftover Crack (the whole world is shit)- The Used (all of the above)But no, Green Day is usually my happy music.
Ila Reto Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 But no, Green Day is usually my happy music.tell that to the person who burst into tears listening to The Judges Daughter and I Was There earlier today it's not fucking healthy.
Trotsky Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Okay but if Like A Rat Does Cheese makes you cry I am putting you on the highest dose anti-depressants I can find.Bloc Party is the most depressing band I like.
Ila Reto Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Bloc Party is pretty good! i've only heard them on marisa's ipod maybe 3 times but im probably gonna go out and buy their album sooner or later.
Celes Chere Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 The only times I felt like crying a lot over a song was with Lavigne's ?When You're Gone', while watching the video and 'One Tree Hill' by the Larry Mullen Jr. Band.Maybe more, but I don't remember.
Guest TwoDollarMellie Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Yeah, like sometimes I just see a video of them in an intervew, or playing a concert, I sometimes start tearing up. Not cause I'm sad though, but cause I'm glad that they and their music exist.

WCH i was so happy i cried i was only on gda at the time, i had come home late from dance, and i saw it said "Green Day on american idol tonight" i thought i missed it, but i turned it on anyway. not even a minute later and they came on. haha, definately a memorable happy green day moment. oddly enough, im not much of a cryer. only the past 10 months i have been, and even more so after December.
Minna Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 A lot of times throughout the years. I couldn't even begin to think about all the times I've gotten emotional over Green Day.When I was younger I loved Dookie for the songs and everything but now I'm older and I really identify with the teen kind of angst in the album and every song seems like it was written for me. My most recent emotional experience was yesterday, I ended a bad sort-of relationship thing that had gone on for so long, almost 4 years, and I get in my car crying and driving home when When I Come Around starts playing on the mix I was listening to. What I had just done, just sat down and talked about, was that song. It was everything he said to me. Yeah, it was bad, but the song is sure helping me cope, and I see it so differently now. I'll always interpret it as the meaning it has now to me.I love Green Day and so many of their lyrics speak to me.
Viva La Junkpile Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I get completely emotional listening to Green Day-- my boyfriend would notice a mellowness about me when I listen to them, like therapy. Also... certain songs are really... effective. *grins*
Celes Chere Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Radiohead are also depressing.Thom Yorke sat at a piano singing 'This is fucked up' for half an hour. We all know that... Who wants to sing the news? No matter how much he sit there twiddling, going, 'We're all doomed,' at the end of the day people will always want to hear them play Creep.
924Nimrod Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Never cried. Although I nearly had many involuntary bodily functions happen after meeting Billie and Mike.
Guest give me novacaine-jos Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 ^^you meet Billie and Mike and you didn't feel like crying?
adelineidiot Posted July 9, 2008 Author Posted July 9, 2008 I'd scream if I see them, and ask for some autographs!
Guest give me novacaine-jos Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 ^^all become even more crazy!!!! (evil smile )
Anja Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Yeah, sometimes when I´m sentimental and a song reminds me on something.
