Kitten Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 well, i'm not that sensitive and I'm not sure there has been any crying over Green Day . They usually cheer me up!!! It's not really crying over green day, just the song.
Metanoia Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 i get emotional when i just think of pinkpop (16 fucking days yay) and mainz .....ibve never been at an open air cocnert before but i really think its even more emotional than in a hall..

Velocity Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I was flipping channels on TV before and Green Day Storytellers back from 2005 was on. When they played Whatsername at the end I was just flooded with all these emotions and I got pretty teary-eyed.
Jaddedkitten Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 So many frigging times I cried when I found out my uncle went to the AI tour and didn't take me and was all Oh did you want to go ? when I asked why the hell didn't he take me with him. I cried watching Wake me up when September ends in Bullet in a bible I cried during 21 guns at MSG
Christina_Whatsername Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 i'm getting very emmotional every time i hear Whatsername, especially at the bridge, because it reminds me of a really beloved person and friend who isn't anymore in this world.. and it's a big loss... NOBODY should dying for nothing.. take care Green Day fans, and don't go too fast with your cars/motos... this is something that you should be awared..
lucylovesbilliejoe Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 i was at a BRMB festival last august with some mates, and my dad phoned me. he told me that he'd got tickets for green day. i threw my phone and started crying. yeah sad, but i was so happy. it was the best night of my life. and when i went to my uncles house the next day, he said something about my green day shirt i'd worn on that night, and i was like, what? and he said you're coming with me to see green day again tonight! i was like omg. rocktober. <333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 and i cried at christmas when i got the wembley tickets. ;D
Caractériel Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Not really emotional as such, but more like an extremely deep sense of connection with the music. Usually every time I see them live I become totally overwhelmed. Its amazing how music can do that to you.
LMC Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I've got emotions, and yes, I get emotional over music at times. Especially Green Day.
One Hot Zombie Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I used to cry when I was watching Bullet In A Bible. And, when I sang "tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial" in their show, I started to cry, but they were happy tears.
DecanoLP Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 I have strong emotional connections to their music or rather some of their songs. Don't know... Every time I listen to Whatsername I have to think about a car ride many years ago. Bad example but there are so many more which are more private and I don't wanna name yet On the one hand it's really strange but on the other hand it's something beautiful. Most of their songs mean so much to me because I can relate to them and I love Billie for writing such great lyrics <3
Metanoia Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 i got emotional again when i listened to 21st cb this saturday and i got so melancholic....
HaushinkaholicBMC Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 everytime i hear the line in my signature..... Heartbreaking.
E!!i Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I cried when I heard of Billie's father's death and that it happened when Billie was only 10!
Metanoia Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 i swear ill cry at the end of pinkpop and mainz concert...i always do that
Haniik Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I cried a lot when I saw them in Prague last month. Especially in the end of the show. I just couldn't help myself. And there's a few songs that sometimes makes me cry. But it depends on my mood.
Holly Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I cried a tiny bit at the end of the Manchester gig last month but at the end of Wembley I was an absolute wreck. I cried when they came on, I cried at several of the songs which meant so much to me and then from Jesus of Suburbia and all through the acoustic encore I couldn't physically stop myself crying, I could barely breathe for it. The security guy asked if I wanted a paramedic because he thought I was really hurt. Since then listening to them and watching my videos can make me cry when I never would have before.
Armageddon Flame. Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I pretty much spent from Coming Clean onwards at the Manchester gig crying tears of joy, and then Billie seeing me wailing during WMUWSE and smiling at me and giving me a little wink really didn't help at all. I had never been happier in my whole life And I can't listen to Whatsername without crying, it just reminds me to much about my ex- best friend of mine who I really miss, a lot
fev5 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I cried a little when they first came on at Wembley Stadium. Then for the acoustic encore they started with When It's Time and i was ok and thought this is going well. But then as soon as WMUWSE started that was me gone and i cried until they left the stage.
Isabel Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I cried at the beginning and end of practically every show this summer. (alot in Manchester, Marlay Park and Mainz) And when they played Maria in Mainz I balled my eyes out because I didn't think I'd ever get to hear that live. I also cried when they played Geek Stink Breath in Manchester. I am such a goon
Mrs. Nobody Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I cried when they came out. Those two chords are evil aha I sometimes get a bit emotional (happy tears most of the time) when I think about how much this band has changed my life xD
ihaveapenisbitch! Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 My best friend died four years ago in september. I can't listen to WMUWSE I'm literally in hysterical tears every time I listen to it, which made for fun times at the barrier on the shows I did this summer. I don't know I get over emotional a lot about Green Day, they're music is what I turned to in the hardest times of my life, they changed my life in so many ways. They are just a part of my every day life I can't imagine my life without their music. Pretty much whenever I am over emotional I listen to them, so it evokes a lot of emotion every time I listen to them.
1039slappygirl Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 The first time I listened to When It's Time the first thought I got was like "this song is extremely beautiful " A couple ot times later, I cried, dunno why And almost every time I listen to Good Riddance and Wake Me Up When September Ends I end up either excited or melancholic and crying...
madddie Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I never really get emotional much, but when it comes to Green Day i'm a wimp. I remember the day after I saw them when I was 12 I was a MESS. And then after last October, I came off stage, and was a MESS. And then all through the gigs this year I was a MESS. I just couldn't stop crying. Especially at Wemlbey, because I was so over whelmed by being at the barrier at Mike corner, and was just shocked by the view I had at their biggest ever gig, and then I pretty much cried the whole way through the Glasgow gig because it was my last one and because I was so happy that Ali got on stage. At all the gigs i've cried when they played Burnout because its my favourite song, and I cried during Waiting , 21st Century Breakdown and obviously Good Riddance, When its Time, loads of others, but they were the ones I was most emotional on. I still get a little teared up when I here certain songs
