LadyPeacemaker20 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 i totally cry about when i come around and i dont know why...... Maybe because it's a beautiful song?
TheBullwinkle Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I turn into a water fountain pretty much every time I listen to "21st Century Breakdown".
†...HAUSHINKA...† Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 i was so overwhelmed after the concert that i couldnt sleep the whole night because so many thoughts were running trough my mind.... I can understand you 'cause I didn't sleep for 2 nights before seeing them and I didn't sleep in the 2 nights after I saw them...^^
_cigarettes&valentines Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 They are one of the few things that really gets me emotional. I think it's just cos I have so much love and admiration and respect for them it can get quite overwhelming. When I'm already upset about something their music can make me proper sob. I also cried when I seen them live in October cos it was my first time seeing them and it was just so special.
Sara. Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I turn into a water fountain pretty much every time I listen to "21st Century Breakdown". same here. It's still can't listen to 21st Century Breakdown without crying. it's just all these memories...
Vrock09 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I always get emotional with Green Day. Especially when I listen to AI all the way through, I'm sobbing by the beginning of Whatsername. lol
LadyPeacemaker20 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Today I got emotional listening to Jesus of Suburbia. Like, not crying. I just started thinking about everything that had been happening the past few years and instead of singing the lyrics, I was screaming and adding a few fucks even though some weren't there. -.- After that I was calmer though!
ChelseaWhatsername Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 KTRYIJHBLEU. I'm trying to watch BIAB, Wake Me Up When September Ends, but... I'm 19 seconds into the video, and I'm already crying. Billie's just barely playing the opening chords. Curse my unstable emotions. I don't think I can watch this.

Guest x-Green Day-x Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I saw them on the 12th of Decemeber 2009 in Sydney, Australia. I admit I cried when I saw them with my own eyes. It was incredable, unbelievable. I finished crying at the end of the first song they sung and that was 21st Century Breakdown, and everyone knows how long that song goes for haha I also cried when my dad told me he bought me tickets to see them in the first place... I was so over the moon xD There have been several (or more) times I've cried or gotten emotional over Green Day, but I'm just not going to write them down here cause I'm afraid I shall get loads of people bored. Haha xD
Rave Kate Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 No need to ask! I've got emotional like a 1000 times!! Most commonly when I'm so depressed and I start listening to Jesus Of suburbia, I sit paralyzed on the floor and feel like crying though i get some good feeling! And Yeah when I watch Bullet in a bible, the live performances of wake me up and blvd bring tears in my eyes
ChelseaWhatsername Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I don't think I've mentioned what I had to go through to get concert tickets last year. I cried pretty much every day for 3 or 4 months straight, because 1. One of my friends (a follower, who happened like everything I did) said she was going to see Green Day, that she had floor tickets, and that her boyfriend was going with her and not me (her boyfriend didn't even like GD), and 2. my parents just kept telling me no. They didn't even have a reason to say no. It was a new one from my mom every day - "There will be people smoking pot there," "Because," "Just no,"... there were more excuses, but I can't remember them. Finally, my mom broke, and my little ex-friend didn't get floor seats, because there was a problem and the ticket guys sold them to someone else. She got worse seats than I did. She's a liar, though, so I'm guessing she didn't even get the floor tickets in the first place.
MitchTheGuitarKid Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 I have never actually cried over Green Day music. But, like most other people with common sense, if I met them, after they we're gone, I'd be a blubbering mess!
Sara. Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 I cried like a baby when I saw that they were coming to Oslo again
gdpony Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 it depends... their music brings up so many emotions in me, but some songs have really been there for me .. I have definitely cried a lot of times with their music! I cant imagine if I went to a show or if I met them! ...
LadyPeacemaker20 Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Tonight, I was watching International Supervideos and "Good Riddance (Time of your Life)" came on. And I just feel this huge burst of happiness.. which is really random since that song usually makes me sad. Still a beautiful song. The happiness was probably from my bf making a joke about Tre busting his head in the video.
Will000 Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Green Day never made me feel upset, but I can relate to a lot of the earlier stuff and they make me extremely happy Paper Lanterns was pretty much the story of my life for awhile. When I saw them at MSG on July I was so damn happy, definitely one of the best nights in my entire life. When I saw them I was like "This is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I want to play music."

And Yeah when I watch Bullet in a bible, the live performances of wake me up and blvd bring tears in my eyes Yeah, back at that time when American idot came, I was passing to so much trouble and I did the same thing as you, that was like a catharsis for me. Like Billie said that, that song isnt the type of song that you'd call your favorite, but it brings so much emotion.
germackpaccone Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 the first time i heard wake me up when september ends i was like
umbjisfhinefum Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 the entire AI album and going to pasalacqua pretty much turn me into mush. AI in its entirety is just so. fucking. amazing. going to pasalacqua just kills me because it always makes me think about like...what i could do with my life for some reason
woahsilence Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 i use to cry after ai came out, whenever i listened to them, (it was after they were down touring) i would get so sad that they would never tour again. i was pretty young back then though
Vaso.Of.Suburbia Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 before a week i was watching a tribute to the best live songs/videos on a big music channel and at the number 4 there was the bobd.... then i started crying and singing along......
deadair Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Yeah unfortunately I'll admit that I did cry when I found out my mom wouldn't pay for a Lollapalooza ticket (the closest place Green Day is playing towards me) for me to see them live this year. Well at least I'm seeing so many other (cheaper) concerts this year!
Christina. Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 When I think back to the sydney concert and feel like it was all so surreal. That's when I crack. Haha!
Kitten Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 well I cried a lot in milton keynes wake me up when september ends! and you? I cried during wake me up when september ends in Sydney, both nights.
