ChelseaWhatsername Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Hmmm... When I watch the WMUWSE music video any time, I cry, and if it's actually September, I'll cry just listening to the song. Yesterday I was crying a little to No One Knows. And No one knows why. Lol I have those random moments when I realize how amazing Green Day truly is, and just how much I love them, and my eyes tear up a little. When I sing their songs... I get WAY too into it. If only I could sing with that much emotion in my choir concerts. Except that would be scary. Edit: And, I cried happy tears when I saw their tour bus as we were driving up to the stadium last year, I cried when they first came on stage, I cried after the whole thing was over, then I cried the next morning when I realized I wasn't there anymore. That whole Sunday was like a hangover.
mandajane Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 back in the day when my life was in shambles id turn on basket case and feel like that was the only thing i could relate to at the time. sometimes id cry. this was like 3-4 years ago.
ChelseaWhatsername Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 ^ AND I cry when I read about or see people who've met Green Day, and hugged them and such..... Jealousy issues..... CANNOT think today. >.<
drumstick Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 right now! so damn excited about summer shows!!!!
xjernpqvrnbfv Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 ya i cried after the concert i went to. it was just soooo emotional and incredible.
Comedy & Tragedy Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Whatsername always gets me. I remember getting emotional once listening to Dry Ice. I think it was just because the lyrics were so...beautiful. And I cried after the concert. Not straight after, but a week later, because that's how long it took it to sink in.
songbird. Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Y'know, besides the time I saw them in concert, the most emotional I ever got was when I first watched Bullet in a Bible, during the Dearly Beloved part in Jesus of Suburbia. It was.. beautiful.
xKimx Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Mm... not crying per say... I tend to "squee" a lot when I hear exciting Green Day news though. I did get really emotional at the first Green Day concert I went to on September 1st at Giants Stadium... pretty close to crying...
walkalone Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 i cried when i saw them in October when they done 21 Guns and Wake Me Up When September Ends. i also cry when i listen to 21 Guns, it depends on the mood that i am
Guest Alan Creep Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 I never cried, but the songs make me feel, sad, happy, anger and give me so much pleasure!
Billie's__Babe Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 When people come up to me and literally start talking bad about them. I'd be fuck you since you have a very horrible taste in music.
Green Day Cellist Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 well... I cried when my phone broke (when I dropped it in the snow and none of the buttons worked) and every single video/picture from my first green day concert couldn't be viewed so the video/pictures were basically gone..... thank freaking god that my dad managed to fix it and I saved everything from that concert on a memory card
Christina. Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Whenever I hear "The rage and love, the story of my life. The Jesus of suburbia is a lie" I get a bit teary. It's just an amazing line in an amazing song!
whatsername343 Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 i was so overwhelmed after the concert that i couldnt sleep the whole night because so many thoughts were running trough my mind....oh and before that i got in a fight with some weird old guy on the train anger is an emotion too xD
Rage & Love. Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I always get emotional when i listen to Green Day. For instance, when im say walking through the corridor at school, and American Idiot comes on, i just think fuck you little children Or say when i listen to say, erm, 2000 Light Years Away i just think of my, amazing, beautiful girlfriend, who i just adore basically, and the fact that she's always far away, but i see her pretty often so And i ALWAYS get emotional when i listen/watch Minority on Bullet in a Bible.
†...HAUSHINKA...† Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 in november I saw them for the first time and I cried just thinking I was goint to see them... than I cried fro WMUWSE, good riddance and my favourite give me novacaine..I had too much emotions in that moment!! and I cried everytime I'm living an hard moment and I listen to them...they provokes many emotions in me!^^
Harinezumi Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I was listening to 21CB (the album) today, and I started to think about how so many songs on it are really sad, angry or desperate. I usually skip Before The Lobotomy, because it makes me sad every time I listen to it. I don't know why it just hit me today, because I know those songs and I've listened to them since the album came out. I guess I'm either happier than I was before, or more desperate, but I'm not sure which. Weird.
Thomas-L Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I don't really get emotional but Macy's Day Parade always sends shivers down my spine, not in a bad way though.
LadyPeacemaker20 Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I get emotional over their songs A LOT, unfortunately. First time was when I was so close to seeing them in concert and the week we were going to pay for the bills, we needed the money for something really stupid. I stayed up all night listening to their music crying because I was so close to actually going to a concert and I didn't get to. That's happened about three more times lately. I hate not being able to go to the concert. I've also cried because of certain songs. I cried after my aunt died and I was listening to "Wake me up When September Ends". I've also cried after a few breakups when I was listening to "Good Riddance(Time of your life)", "Whatsername", and a few other ones. A lot of their songs get me emotional, sometimes at stupid times too.
ChelseaWhatsername Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 @ Thomas-L : I'm wearing that shirt right now, the one for your avatar. Lately, I've been getting epic waves of "OMJOS I love Green Day" going through me. I'll just be listening to them, and then I get drowned in my own respect, love and admiration for them. And yesterday, when I was reading the article in OUT magazine online, there was a part - oh - where Billie brings up how he's 15 years from 50 (which would be 12 years now). I teared up. I don't want any of the members to age. If they age, Green Day ages, and when they're gone, Green Day will be gone. They'll live on through their music and all, but...
LadyPeacemaker20 Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 @ChelseaWhatsername When you mentioned Green Day aging, I just teared up! I agree! I don't want them to ever go away. Not being able to see them running around in concert, playing their songs to tons of people, knowing they're singing for everyone there and care about each and every single fan the same amount. That should never go away! Blargh I'm crying now!!!
Harinezumi Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 The article made me tear up too! It was so... honest, I think. Yeah.
LadyPeacemaker20 Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 The article made me tear up too! It was so... honest, I think. Yeah. That's what I like about them. They're not afraid to talk about the hard stuff, the stuff that haunts them at night.
ChelseaWhatsername Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 .... I don't want to think about them getting old, but it pops up all the time... At least I'm not the only one... And knowing running around on a stage doing leaps off of speakers doesn't last forever - that just doesn't help.
Metanoia Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 i totally cry about when i come around and i dont know why......
