I haven't necessarily cried BECAUSE of Green Day, but some of their lyrics have definitely moved me to tears a time or two, especially during times when I was feeling anxious and needed a good cry.

And add me to the list of people who cried during Wake Me Up When September ends in BiaB...

to add to my list...

I cried and screamed when they won the Grammy.

As did me and my best friend. We screamed and pissed off everyone else in the house. haha.

A lot of their hooks give me chills which is probably why I've stayed a fan since the age of 11! (28 now). Would have to be the most listened to band in my life and with good reason. Listen to some of the covers done acousticly and on piano on Youtube and I dare you not to be moved with the beauty of the majority of the their catalogue.

I just have to luf them

The 21 guns video with the musical cast made me cry a bit because it was just awesome.

Oh yes, I cried during that part too.

And during Good Riddance in Bullet in a Bible as well.

But then again, Good Riddance always makes me cry a bit.. :')

That made me cry, too. I always start to feel hypersenstive when I listen to 21 Guns as well. GD always stirs up emotions like hapiness, anger, loneliness or hope. That´s one reason why they´re such a fantastic band!

Like I said in another thread, I almost cried when I heard that they're coming to Finland this summer. I was on the bus checking my emails on my cell phone when I saw the email from the Finnish promoter. I had to fight back tears all the way home. I don't think I've ever been so excited about anything in my entire life.

I've cried when I've been listening their songs. Like during the all time favourite WMUWSE, Good Riddance, even during 2000 Ligh Years Away! And so on. But, I also started crying was when I saw they are coming in Finland! I've waited it since I started listening them. And now, they are FINALLY coming here!

I think I will cry at the day they come here... Not because sadness, because happiness! :D

I do get emotional...

But in Copenhagen, I really felt like just bursting into tears while standing right in front of Mike SO manny times, but somehow I just couldn't cry... I guess I was just to incredebly happy! :D

each time hearing Macy's Day Parade, 21 Guns and Good Riddance (cry) and I Want To Be Alone (aggression)

I do, but in a good way.

Every time I listen to them or see their pictures or watch a video, I start thinking about that confusing early teenage period of my life and how they changed everything.

My appreciation runs deep. :) I can't really accurately describe it.

I got quite emotional at their Wembley Arena show, I had tears in my eyes because I felt so happy being there.

Absolutely.

My beloved dad died six years ago, and on the first anniversary of his death, I woke up to Wake Me Up When September Ends. It knocked me flat. Last May, I met Green Day in London, after they had recorded a radio show, and Billie commented on the anchor I wear around my neck (Dad was in the navy) and I told him this story. The result was that he hugged me - my ultimate hero gave me a cuddle on a London pavement, then Mike asked to share the love and hugged me too.

And then, when I thought that song couldn't get any more emotional for me, on October 19th last year I saw Green Day on my home turf in Glasgow for the first time in nearly four years. That day would have been Dad's birthday. The next to last song that Billie sang was WMUWSE - on an acoustic guitar. It was incredible. I stood in tears in the middle of an immense crowd and at the end of the show, I was surrounded by a dozen or more friends, who hugged me in the piles of wet confetti and empty beer glasses.

Emotional? Hell yeah!

I never cry, definitely not in public, but when it comes to Green Day I have cried several times, when they announce that they were coming to Sweden last year, after the concert, everytime I watch BIAB, and I hear certain songs

Wake Me Up When September Ends makes me cry each time (or just nostalgic) i love it but i feel so damn sorry for BJ and it makes me feel so bad. that i have a father and i don't really care for him and he doesn't... i feel i'm cheating him (i know it's weird, but that's how i feel) :(

I cried when I first saw them live, happy tears(I still couldn't believe I was actually there after having every chance foiled for other stupid things or I couldn't afford it)

Last time I played the entirey Jesus Of Surburbia I balled, it brought back memories that I remember around this time of year and I used to play the song years ago when I was very angry and sad.

Countless times I have gotten 'emotional' over their stuff. A lot of their songs hit home for me. :)
