bollard_11 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 wake me up when september ends always gets me, i lost a close family member and this song was released near enough to that so i always remember
gehrc Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Philly on the 21st in the 21st CB Tour - My first show, I was literally stunned for the first half of 21st Century Breakdown because I was in such awe of seeing their greatnesses in person. Probably will happen the next time I see them too... but I just couldn't move, and could hardly sing along I was that excited.
Christina. Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Thinking back to the night of the Green Day concert I went to makes me tear up a little. The fact that I was within two metres of Billie is unbelievable and I don't think I'll ever get over it!And also BOBD in BIAB - hearing everyone scream the lyrics back at Billie gives me the shivers every time!
GreenDaymaniac2000 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Yes... I still find it hard to listen to any of the songs they played at the concert and not cry... WMUWSE always gets me... Same with Good Riddence. I bawled when they came on stage (enough to get a smile and a mouthed "are you ok?" from Mike embarrisingly) and after they went off at my show... They mean so much to me.
saoli Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I went to Green Day concert yesterday.I got sooo emotional and right now I'm so burned out :/
AnnA™ Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I can't say I cry over Geen Day. They do touch me on an emotional level with their music, but I don't cry because of it. More like the other way around. Sometimes when I hear a Green Day song I get so happy for no apparent reason other than loving the song so much.I have cried when listening to a Green Day song, once or twice, because I associated it with something sad that had happened. When I saw then live there were a few times during the show where I felt like I was almost about to cry. It was a really overwhelming experience to me. I was so damn happy that I could've shed a few tears of pure happiness, but I just couldn't stop smiling. So, no tears during the show or afterwards, even though I had somewhat of a post-concert depression.
bat-chen Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Sometimes when randomly I hear a song by them, I started to acting like a girly: "OMG!!! Green Day!!" with a big smile on my face. my mom thinks I'm nuts. LOL! Also, the first time I saw BIAB I had tears from being so happy and I smiled so much!
Freeny Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I get chills everytime on Bullet In A Bible when Billie plays the first notes of Wake Me Up When September Ends, and the audience screams. It's fucking beautiful, getting that response must be the best feeling in the world.
Isabel Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I love listening to Song of the Century, the ending just gets my heart racing so fast. Then the DUN, DUN! intro for 21st Century Breakdown just makes me want to cry with absolute joy.
minorty13 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I love listening to Song of the Century, the ending just gets my heart racing so fast. Then the DUN, DUN! intro for 21st Century Breakdown just makes me want to cry with absolute joy. Hahaha me too, especially after the concert. Everytime I hear SOC I just remember Billie Mike and Tre sprinting out on stage I'm getting ready to full on bawl when I see the Grammy's, either of joy when they win or horror if they loose
NaturalxDisaster Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I cried when i saw the Grammys, the last year. It was very late and i was with my little sister, and i thought they wouldn't appear and in the end THEY WERE THERE it made me cry when they announced the new album, i was really happy and i hold my sister xD and when they say they would come to argentina, I cried again. It'll be my first Green Day concert [i was 5 when they came in the '98], and I'm sure i'll cry again when i have the dates, because it'll be one of the happiest moments of my life
BillieJoeLegstrong Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 well if you count that i almost cried when i found out bout green day rockband....im like my prayers have been answered
pols4tre Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I cried both of the times I saw them in London in 2009, more so the second time because I was closer to the stage. During 21 Guns, I started crying and this lady in front of me was staring at me like "Are you OK?!" lol XDI can imagine that I'd cry if I got the chance to meet them too (after I walk away, obviously! I'd die of embarrassment if I cried in front of them!). I'm hoping that maybe they'll do some signings while they're back in the UK.
Psycho Britney Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I almost started crying during the last encore at my last show on the tour. The songs were obvouisly emotional but I was sad that my little 'Rocktober' experience was over, and I wouldn't get to see GD again for a while.
Lyz Z Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I get way emotional about Green Day hahah. When my parents didn't agree to take me I cried for like, an hour. It made my dad agree to take me hahah. I remember hearing "Sing us a song of the century.." at the concert and I started screaming.
Isabel Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Hahaha me too, especially after the concert. Everytime I hear SOC I just remember Billie Mike and Tre sprinting out on stage Exactly. I remember my first show of this tour so well. I kept turning to everyone saying "I feel so sick!!" And then J'net was like "Ohhh, Rock n' Roll Radio! That means SOTC is on next!" And I literally thought my insides were going to fall out. When it came on, I tried so hard to sing it normally, but my voice got all shaky and choked up and I just cried instead
Pineapple Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I was so surprised by the HUGE wave of emotions i had when i saw them live, as soon as i saw Tre run out on stage, i couldn't stop crying, and it wasn't just tears - i was basically sobbing trying to breath, this continued for at least 3 songs, just seeing Billie there singing, he looked exactly like he did in every video i have seen of him and i couldn't believe it, i cried so much and when i finally contained myself, Billie looked at me, started pouring again, i contained myself, then he pulled me up during are we the waiting, now that just made me go crazy, a sobbing mess, couldn't get over that i was touching him and hugging him and standing right next to me. After being taken of stage, there where a few songs where i put on the water works again (JOS, Minority etc) just because they are such meaningful songs to me and again i couldn't believe i was seeing them live, and at the end of the concert again, balling. After the concert for a few days, each time i saw the video with me on stage i cried. So i suppose i was very emotional over Green Day I love listening to Song of the Century, the ending just gets my heart racing so fast. Then the DUN, DUN! intro for 21st Century Breakdown just makes me want to cry with absolute joy. yes, thinking about SOTC, oh god i remember standing there and it started playing - the crowd started screaming and Tre ran out, make my heart skip a beat, thats when i started crying
Isabel Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 yes, thinking about SOTC, oh god i remember standing there and it started playing - the crowd started screaming and Tre ran out, make my heart skip a beat, thats when i started cryingHehehe same God everyone must have been like "wtf??!" (love your sig btw, it's amazing )
Eeefaa. Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 when i heard they were coming back to ireland i cried for like a full hourthen i learnt it would be in the middle of my exams, and i started crying morebut then i learnt that i finished the day before the concert... and cue more tears my parents were getting pretty worried at this point I can imagine that I'd cry if I got the chance to meet them too (after I walk away, obviously! I'd die of embarrassment if I cried in front of them!).i dont think id possibly have that kind of self control
HaushinkaSins Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 oh gosh, at the new york meet and greet last may... i cried like a little bitch haha. no lie, even adie acknowledged me and she also remembered me at the MSG show later that year cause she took a pic of me crying haha. but yeah, seeing them in person is nuts. i cried on billie and he gave me a kiss on my cheek. you can say i died and came right back cause i swear my heart stopped beating lol
Guest Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 When I thought I couldn't see Green Day this year, I didn't stop crying, and lyrics in certain songs just make me want to cry Oh and also when I saw them in October I didn't realise how bad my seats were, I nearly cried then but I controlled myself xD
Demented or Disturbed Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I very, VERY rarely ever get emotional. I can't even remember the last time i cried. although, WMUWSE had me kinda emotional, i didn't cry, but i still felt for Billie. I came very close to crying when i was watching a random performance of JOS on youtube and Billie sang the line I don't feel any shame I won't apologize, when there ain't nowhere we can go. Running away from pain when we've been victimized, tales from another broken home i've always love that line and there was just something about the way he sang it that time that just touched me.
belindatest Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 When I saw them live, and Billie sang Good Riddance, I realised the concert was over. The combination of the concert being over, and the shit that I was going through at that point, nearly moved me to tears.
Guest Hayley Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 It was a long time ago. I don't remember when though. Oops.
petros Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Not really crying a lot but some tears where coming to my eyes when I heard Haushinka or WMUWSE....I was in a really bad mood
