The Disappearing Boy Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 why would you cry at a concert? thats a time to be happy.
greendaytodeathandback Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 wheni was 10, we went to see Paul McCartney live. my dad is as big a beatles fan as i am green day, which is more than life itself!McCartney sang so many amazing songs and my da cried at lots of them, mainly blackbird and shes leaving home. so when i got to see Green Day and then Billie Joe came out and sang on his own, i got all tearyand when they came out on stage at first i could have died!!!their music means alot to me, and i do think that it can make people get very emotional
JadedGirl84 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I get emotional over Green Day all the time. I've been listening to them forever and their music means so much to me. I got seriously emotional during all of their concerts. Every time they played Good Riddance I started to tear up. And the very last time I saw them, I cried a few times. I cried in the last encore because it was ending, I cried when they started playing Pasalaqua because it's one of my all time favourites, and I cried during 21 Guns because it was so beautiful
P3AC3MAK3R Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Yep all the time !! Billies voice makes me wanna cry cause its sooo beautiful !! i cried at the concert on the last encore itwasamazing and i didt wont it to end !! I cry somtimes when i listen to there songs they always seem to mean somthing all the time no matter what your life is going through ...
Leisha-LUNA Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I cry far too much over Green Day.At the last concert I cried from American Eulogy all the way through to Good Riddance (thats 6 songs or something stupid)and then afterwards we were all holding each other in a massive group hug bawling our eyes out. I cried reading the "why you love Green Day?" thread, and the first time I watched the videos of the melbourne acoustic encore. I had tears in my eyes when I saw Mike in the airport.I cried when I thought Wembley was sold out. toooo much emotions!
Little Girl Little One Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Well, I'm not sure if I've ever cried JUST from a song itself, but if I'm already in a mood, it can really set off the waterworks. Like Whatsername has made me cry before, because I had just moved, and I was scared that all my friends, in a few years, would forget me and think of me as Whatsername. Jesus of Suburbia too (City of the Dead to be precise), because of the "Home is where the heart is, but what a shame 'cause everyone's heart doesn't beat the same" part, because I felt like (still feel like) my home isn't where I live now, it's in my old town. There are probably other ones too, but those two are the first ones that come to mind.On the flip side, songs that make me happy? I still grin every time I hear Dominated Love Slave, and Basket Case makes me want to dance around like a lunatic.
*Megan* Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 At the concert I cried during the encore, especially during last night on Earth. My man was confused, but hugged me anyway haha.
DistilledxSpirits Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 At my first concert I cried during 21stCB, WMUWSE, Good Riddance, Novocaine and (for some strange reason) Static Age.
Nikki Vengeance Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Whatsername makes me tear up sometimes."And in the darkest night, if my memory serves me right. I'll never turn back time. Forgetting you, but not the time." < That line always gets me going.I always think about my ex, which was also my longest relationship, and I get all upset and stuff. It just describes exactly, 110% how I feel. And on the day of the concert in Perth last year, (4th December), 21 Guns started playing, and I just choked up and started crying my eyes out.And of course, I teared up at the actual concert. And afterwards for about a week or so, I'd cry when I heard certain songs by them.
Clayish Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I have no idea why people would cry at a concert.ENJOY THE MOMENT!and no, the only time I almost cried was when I heard the final version of 21st Century Breakdown, and I was just so happy that there back, and the album would be incredible.
greendaygal89 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 listening to 21 guns AI muscial cast version for the first time made me teary becuase its so beautiful
Harinezumi Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I have no idea why people would cry at a concert.Umm... because they're so happy to be there? I cry if I'm really, really happy about something, but I hardly ever cry when I'm sad. I punch things when I'm sad.
catarina. Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Umm... because they're so happy to be there? I cry if I'm really, really happy about something, but I hardly ever cry when I'm sad. I punch things when I'm sad. this. i kinda get annoied when people ask me that XDi get really emocional when in concerts. Like, seeing my idols right in front of me makes me really happy that i need to release some emotions by crying. Specially Green Day, i waited 5 years or so to finally see them live and i just couldn't believe. I had to cry XD
Leisha-LUNA Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I have no idea why people would cry at a concert.ENJOY THE MOMENT!I cried towards the end of the last Aussie tour show because I was going to miss Green Day and the people I had met throughout the tour so much, I didn't want it to be over. The way you say that makes it sound like we're making a conscious decision to cry and neglect the brilliance of the concert haha, I enjoyed it an insane amount thank you. I was SO happy during American Eulogy that I burst into tears, and that led to sad tears.
JadedGirl84 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Umm... because they're so happy to be there? I cry if I'm really, really happy about something, but I hardly ever cry when I'm sad. I punch things when I'm sad. Yeah I agree. I cried at the shows because 1) I was seriously so happy 2) I was incredibly overwhelmed by the whole thing and 3) because at the end I was sooo sad that it was over. So many emotions.
Ally Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I got emotional over good riddance this morning, no idea why, think it may have been cos my friend was getting to me but idk

Johannamunter Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Every time I watch Wake Me Up When September Ends on BIAB I have to fight tears. Haydée Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 haha no, I don't get emotional I thought I was going to when I see them live.. but that day, naah, I was just cool.
greenday801440 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 When I saw them in Boston I cried when they first came on stage, and again when they were playing Jesus of Suburbia.
