the first time i saw them in concert in 2005 i cried when they came out and then when they played jesus of suburbia for some reason... i was (am) in love with that song. (and i was like 14). then this last august me and my friend were front row and BJ literally reached out and held her hand for a good 5 seconds and i was so happy for her that i cried, haha.

i dunno about other people but sometimes when my friend and i listen to certain green day songs our souls just like...hurt... in a good way (we dont know how to explain it). kinda weirdm but always good.

They played At The Library, Disappearing Boy, The Judge's Daughter, Only Of You, Going To Paslacqua, etc. at a few shows :) They've really been mixing up the setlists this time around, it's amazing

wow, that means in 3 days i'm in for a treat! :)

i haven't been really active GD's setlist-wise for a long time, but thanks for the update.

I'm very emotional over green day right now. I've just seen them twice on october 8th and yesterday on october 12th. I have looked forward to the concerts every day since I got the tickets in may. I had a very great time, those two days were the best days in my life! no doubt about it. now everything it's over and I'm back to the life that I hate with nothing to look forward too. I can't even think of green day without crying. it's going to take a while before I'll 'come to myself' again. I have never been that emotional before, at least as I can remember. It's just like I wanna do nothing else that sit in a corner and cry. is there everyone else that have felt the same? how long did it last? I don't hope this'll last very long, I need to go back to the 'normal life'.

I've never cried because of Green Day or because of a particular song, as far as I can remember.

But of course a lot of there songs are emotional and mean a lot to me, nevertheless their songs actually make me happy and not sad.

When I'm down or depressed their songs have an energetic effect on my. It's more like when I'm sad or depressed I only need to listen to Green Day to stop crying and face whatever may come. Their songs motivated me so often and therefore I just love them!

In my opinion their songs made me stronger! :D

Aack. This is gonna sound sappy but yeah I do.

Cause other than family and shit, theyre all I really believe in and care about.

I have no idea how to say how much love I have for those three men.

And their music just really hits me.

You know when they played 21 Guns at Globen here in Sweden i started crying in the second verse. I just couldn't help myself, the tears just kept falling. That was such an emotional moment right there.

there are some parts of certain songs where i ALWAYS get chills up my spine. It's just a moment where the sound of the guitar or a lyric strikes me. when i saw them live, the montage during 21 Guns gave me goosebumps both times i saw it.

YES

The 21 guns montage makes me cry every time

When the light streamers fell down during "Like a liar looking for forgiviness from a stone"

I couldn't help but just break down at the concert.

And then when the piano solo goes (one of my favorite parts of the entire album) and Christian and Gloria kiss... It's just so breathtaking.

this video, even though it isn't my concert, just takes me back.

Yeah, I can think of a time when I got real emotional over a Green Day song. The very first time I heard Jesus of Suburbia, I was 18, the first crack of the drums almost put me in tears. The song really hit me. Especially this opening line,

To fall in love and fall in debt, to alcohol and cigarettes, and maryjane to keep me insane, doing someone else's cocaine...

This felt just like me all the way up to the marijuna part, the cocaine sounded like some of my friends I had to seperate myself from at the time. The song was healing in a way, later. At first, it broke me down, because it felt just like what I had been going through at that time in my life.

But I have felt emotional over a whole lot of Green Day's songs in my life, I can relate to most of them. A couple other examples are, like the first time I really got into 39 Smooth my freshman year of high school, all the songs about girls and the expert solos really inspired me. Also, I'll share one more, Hitchin' Ride, I can really relate to this, I've always liked this song, but especially over the last two years being twenty-one and twenty-two. I got really addicted to alcohol, all I wanted to do was go out to bars and drink. So, I remember listening to this and really feeling that struggle of wanting to drink so often.

I cry very often while thinking of Green Day :P.

Once I was crying because of that tickets on the platform were sold and I had to buy sitting places, I was so angry at myself that I didn't buy them earlier. But it ended in good way, cause on the day of concert my Dad bought me standing ticket, so I cried one more time, this time of hapiness :D.

I cried on the concert, I have never been so happy before! It was amazing to me.

Sometimes I cry when I realise how much I love them :)).

I cry everytime I hear good riddance.

I've cried on and off all day. The concert in Ahoy was just so fucking beautiful.

That sounds so wussy. :/ But it really was amazing :D

Oh yeah, I always get emotional when I hear Wake Me Up, 21 Guns, and Good Riddance because they're just so easy to relate to, and I can relate them to my life 100%... if that makes sense at all... but I have a huge emotional attachment to their music, and those songs. And also, I cried when I saw Wake Me Up in BIAB. But that's also why I respect and love Billie, Tre, and Mike so much. I can always look to their music for support.♥ I was on the verge of tears when they preformed Good Riddance... it was so sad that it was the end of the concert, and it's a sad but beautiful song too. ):

Today I did seeing the video for 21CB. I knew that Billie was a fantastic writer (and as corny as it sounds is my total inspiration, since I am also a writer), but seeing his lyrics put into pictures in the way that the video showed was really moving. It gave me a better understanding of not only the message of the song but the message of the entire CD, and now I love it even more than before!

Much like how I love the album even more than before, I find something new is happening all the time that makes me love the band more than I thought possible. I fall a little deeper in love every day.

ALL OF THIS IS GONNA SOUND SO CHEESY BUT

There are so many Green Day songs that have really struck a chord. The lyrics and music have gotten me through so much shit where's it's been to the point that when I was depressed a while back, sometimes I cried myself to sleep listening to their songs and then the next day I'd feel a little better.

I was in tears when I first saw them come up onto the stage for the first time I went to one of their concerts. I couldn't believe after years of not being able to see them perform live for shitty reasons, I was there, actually watching them in real life instead of on the television for years and years.

For both shows I went to I was lucky enough to have some eye contact/sing along with one of my biggest heroes

I got teary eyed after Tre and I sang along to the songs and he smiled and winked at me. I had a fangirl moment and like broke down crying like a moron hah.

Also, during Heart Like A Hand Grenade, the WMUWSE montage/scenes made me bawl my eyes out, along with other various mindblowing scenes from the movie.

I always feel like crying of happiness when I hear last night on earth since I was at a Green Day concert last week.

Seeing Billie singing "Sending all my love to you"live...... was so beautiful

yep...when I saw them in Detriot on July 14th. You get so used to seeing them on magazine covers, you tube or on mtv.... so to see them in person..it's an emotional moment. I started shaking..and tearing up.
