The Muffin Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 When I heard Macy's Day Parade for the first time, I cried.Hell, any song that has violins in it makes me cry.And WMUWSE on BIAB.
Jessica Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I cried the other night when I was driving alone in my car listening to "Last Night On Earth"...It's never been my favorite song off of that album, but it made me think of my boyfriend who I'm going to leave in a few months...I'm going to California for college and I don't know what I'm going to do without him because I've been with him for so long. I don't know what's going to happen and for some reason that song reminded me of this whole situation. How much I'll miss him. How lost I am about it. How much I love him. When Billie came out and played that song alone at our concert, I felt more of a connection than I ever have with any other song...The fact that he was 2 feet in front of me probably had something to do with it too, haha.
Tubbie Head Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 When I heard Macy's Day Parade for the first time, I cried.Hell, any song that has violins in it makes me cry.And WMUWSE on BIAB.The same with me.. I always get very emotive with all music in general.. and Green Day, for me, are way too special.. So.. You can see how this works herexD When I'm into the songs, and feeling them.. I really cry like a baby, oh man xDIn 29 days I'll be at their concert, It'll be the most special thing ever.. I can't even express how happy I am about seeing them
IamRobotHearMeRoar Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 errrrm, certain songs make me even more upset if i'm already upset. But no songs make me cry or anything if im feeling alright. But if im feeling down, Green Day usually cheers me up
Jimmy Strummer Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I almost cried reading the lyrics to Viva La Gloria (Little Girl). That was before I knew what the song sounded like. The lyrics alone are SO SO powerful when they're just describing this pitiful, destroyed, hopeless little girl in the slums somewhere. It's so sad of a song.
Harriet Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 All the time. The first time I heard 21 Guns I was crying my eyes out before the end of the first line. Every so often I'll connect with a song in a way I never have before, like I'll be able to relate to it all of a sudden and that'll make me really emotional. And every so often I think about how much I love them and I end up crying about that as well...I know when I see them in the flesh for the first time I'll cry my eyes out. They've been my whole life for years, and words can't express how much they mean to me. They've helped me through so much without even knowing me, and that's amazing.
Raychul Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 To be honest when I saw them in 2005 and at the end when they played 'Good Riddance', my mom and I just looked at each other and started crying; it was so dorky.
Heather.asdf Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 yeah on certain songs during certain times of the month, y'know?
MusicalDeviant Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Yeah, I get really emotional when other bitches claim to be in love with my Tre. He's my HUSBAND. So back off.I am NOT CRAZY.
Sunshine2385 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Yeah, I get really emotional when other bitches claim to be in love with my Tre. He's my HUSBAND. So back off.I am NOT CRAZY. SO off topic but some girl on you tube made a video trying to ask Tre out.ANYWAYSyeah on certain songs during certain times of the month, y'know? absolutely genius and yeah, I know
MusicalDeviant Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 SO off topic but some girl on you tube made a video trying to ask Tre out."you ask me to kill a man I do not know..."No but seriously, this ho is dead. Because she's messin' with my BOO.For some bizarre reason, the transition from "The Static Age" to "21 Guns," before the vocals begin on the latter track, makes me a little teary. I don't know why.
lookoutrebelgirl Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Oh yes, Green Day songs can control my emotion.I cant always sing alone because I know I will fall in to that emotion. I can only sing along with some songs when I know it's going to be okay for me to be pissed off or sad or happy or whatever.
04rebhop Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I don't usually get upset very easily, but the end of Bullet in a bible, when they play Good Riddance usually upsets me.
RogueBreakdown Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 When Billie sang Last Night on Earth acoustic at the Forum I was crying
Radioactive1 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I have been feeling more emotional when I recently listen to Billie's voice. I don't know why though
PhePheBill Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 last night on earth always makes me a little teary, but at the same time it makes me happy. most green day songs make me laugh, make me hyper, or make me really mad at some ppl.......

dolce Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I have been feeling more emotional when I recently listen to Billie's voice. I don't know why though Same here, and it's weird for me, because I am SO not an emotional person. Green Day has been making me emotional more times than not lately... the concerts I went to this past summer really, really effected me deeper than I initially realized, I think.

Guest jetblackheart Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 I think I nearly cried when I heard Whatsername for the first time. And in the darkest nightIf my memory serves me rightI'll never turn back timeForgetting you, but not the time.
Kryssi. Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 I do get a little sentimental over some of their songs, it depends on my mood. Like right now, I'm getting a little teary-eyed over 'Whatsername,' and I'm quite obsessed with it and the character.
iLozza! Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 It's rare that I do, but when I do I blub like mad. Songs like 'Last Night On Earth' really get me.
emmaILGD! Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 21 Guns really got to me earlier. It was basically telling me everything I was thinking.
