eighteen Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I'm not sure if I've like cried over a Green Day song before, it's possible, but I can't remember. But I do get emotional when I listen to Green Day and I haven't for a while and I get this oh my god this is fucking amazing feeling in my chest. So yes I get emotional over Green Day.
badwolf Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 sometimes when i cry or im mad or sad, i tend to listen to them and there i am happy as a dandelion!!! they make me brighten up!!!
Spark of Insanity Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 When I first heard them, a tear formed in my eyes. As their music blared through my speakers, I fell to my knees, and with the aching pain of my heart, I looked up to the sky and whispered "Thank you Lord. Thank you.." That was hilarious and well written enough to make me want to sig that.

Starbug Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Last night Mother Mary helped usher me along to tears lol and then Like a Rat Does Cheese dried them right up
Hermione Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 ...Redundant live @ bbc radio '98...I had forgotton all about that! You just reminded me so I listened to it again. Thanks for mentioning it and reminding me, it's a great version of a beautiful song . My favourite Redundant is this acoustic one with just Billie and Mike, definitely gives me shivers,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve-i1Egwvtk
farley drexel hatcher Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I've never heard Redundant live @ bbc radio '98, anyone know where I can find it?And I don't think i've ever gotten emotional over Green Day. Although with how long we've waited for this new album/tour, never say never lol

ScreamsInSilence815 Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I cried when I got tickets to one of their shows for my birthday...it was kind of a mixture of shock and disbelief lol. I remember I just looked at my mom and was like "am I really going?!" and she nodded and I was still crying xD.And then all my friends were teasing me about it afterwards, but I just told them they wouldn't understand. *sigh* if only I had best friends who love GD as much as I do...
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 sometimes, depends on my mood, environment and whether i can sing along...^ yeah if i only got them too, one friends dislikes them, one just knows them but no more, the others don't even know them, about the rest of my friends idk, i don't talk so often about what i listen to and what i do at home exept 'being on the computer and just hanging around', there's only one friend who knows about how much i like GD, he likes them too but just likes, not very or something.[yay, again i wrote a long, boring thing by accident..]

Well kind of. My friends and I used to be huuge Green Day fans during American Idiot, like my whole school were basically fans. Now they are over Green Day and have moved on as the AI hype has dissapeared. I was talking to my friend the other day and mentioned something about going to The Living End concert, and she was like 'you still like those kinds of bands? I thought that was a phase we went through, you know when we were crazy about that Green Day band and stuff'. That pissed me off, because Green Day is definitely not a phase for me. I guess people with no appreciation of music can't seem to understand that. As for getting emotional over Green Day - I got a bit emotional when I went to their first concert and Billie came out at the end to sing Good Riddance.

(the dislike friend) when we came onto the topic 'music'... but i don't care:DI've went through phases with bands too, but Green Day didn't feel like a phase, and they aren't, otherwise i would've forgotten abouth them already xD.
jinxamor Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 yeah Absolute radio talked about the rock off and then played Good Riddance live at Milton Keynes. That made me cry, hearing them live. Knowing that yet again my parents will probably deny me the chance to see them.
Saint of Saints Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 ^^^^^^^^^^^awwwwwwwwwww that relates to me too...
Spark of Insanity Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I got emotional a bit over Green Day, because I haven't talked to a good friend of mine for a while. We loved Green Day and I finally got to talk to her all about Green Day. It is really hard to find someone here who knows about them as much as I do and loves them the same. So I was overcome with emotions of like elation because that is something I can finally talk to with someone. Good music, since everyone else I know kind of hates them or dosen't like them much. I get emotional with happiness that music brings me and that band.
The Nobody Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Only when I heard Are We The Waiting for the first few times did I get emotional.
badwolf Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 i believe i did only when i first heard WMUWSE...... i think i said this before but i dont recall....
Hermione Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I always get emotional over Green Day. Their music makes me feel every emotion there is! And then when I'm feeling any particular way, there's always a Green Day song I'll want to listen to to fit my mood too. They have it all covered!
chickin'pickin' Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I think that people need to be reminded that 'emotional' doesn't just cover melancholic or sad feelings. It can mean feelings of happiness and joy too!

It seem like me and music that I listen was just the main issue of gossip. Then few months ago I met really nice guy that, thanks God, like Green Day He is my best friend now. There's finally someone that I can talk with day and night about them without having on my mind "Am I boring?"...that's really great feeling

!taste4suicidal! Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 ok this may sound really fucked! but the other day i had just bought the warning album and i was soooooooooooooooooooo happy to get it, like seriously we played it in our truck on the way home and i sang along to it so loud as if i were at a concert and then a couple days later i was just having a terrible day then something spilled all over my purse and it got all over the album and into the lyrics then i couldn't get the lyrics out the album carefully enough cuz i didnt want to rip them, they were seriously stuck in there hardcore so once i got back from school i got my dad to do it and then i couldnt even open the booklet, it got glued together, and when i first found that out at school i was in the middle of i test and i was slightly high from all the fumes coming from the shit that spilled in my bag and i bursted into tears and i was so embarrassed, no one would truly understand y i was crying but to me that was like burning the flag! i was torn as well as the lyrics, lmao im still sad about that! FUCK THIS TOPIC HAD TO REMIND ME ABOUT MY INCIDENT!
