Ever get emotional over Green Day?

I'm not sure if I've like cried over a Green Day song before, it's possible, but I can't remember. But I do get emotional when I listen to Green Day and I haven't for a while and I get this oh my god this is fucking amazing feeling in my chest. So yes I get emotional over Green Day.

I cried when I got tickets to one of their shows for my birthday...it was kind of a mixture of shock and disbelief lol. I remember I just looked at my mom and was like "am I really going?!" and she nodded and I was still crying xD.

And then all my friends were teasing me about it afterwards, but I just told them they wouldn't understand. *sigh* if only I had best friends who love GD as much as I do...

I thought that was a phase we went through, you know when we were crazy about that Green Day band and stuff'.

That pissed me off, because Green Day is definitely not a phase for me. I guess people with no appreciation of music can't seem to understand that.

I never knew them before, only since a couple of months *is ashamed* [i've got a reason, i was only 10/11 maybe 12 during AI], so i got all exited and one of my friends was like 'yeah, that's mainstream, like whatever!' (the dislike friend) when we came onto the topic 'music'... but i don't care:D

I've went through phases with bands too, but Green Day didn't feel like a phase, and they aren't, otherwise i would've forgotten abouth them already xD.

yeah Absolute radio talked about the rock off and then played Good Riddance live at Milton Keynes. That made me cry, hearing them live. Knowing that yet again my parents will probably deny me the chance to see them.

I always get emotional over Green Day. Their music makes me feel every emotion there is! And then when I'm feeling any particular way, there's always a Green Day song I'll want to listen to to fit my mood too. They have it all covered!

I think that people need to be reminded that 'emotional' doesn't just cover melancholic or sad feelings. It can mean feelings of happiness and joy too!

I was the only one who was totally freak out about Green Day and only one who knows everything about them here...I've never met anyone that only like Green Day ...they just know few songs from American Idiot and they will always roast them...Then I was trying to not be mad or something like that..and I wasn't..but when all, but really all ppl from school called me and them satan and other derogatory names I just couldn't hide my feelings anymore and one time I just start crying so badly...that didn't help of course...It was the same after few days. It seem like me and music that I listen was just the main issue of gossip.

Then few months ago I met really nice guy that, thanks God, like Green Day

He is my best friend now. There's finally someone that I can talk with day and night about them without having on my mind "Am I boring?"...that's really great feeling

ok this may sound really fucked! but the other day i had just bought the warning album and i was soooooooooooooooooooo happy to get it, like seriously we played it in our truck on the way home and i sang along to it so loud as if i were at a concert and then a couple days later i was just having a terrible day then something spilled all over my purse and it got all over the album and into the lyrics then i couldn't get the lyrics out the album carefully enough cuz i didnt want to rip them, they were seriously stuck in there hardcore so once i got back from school i got my dad to do it and then i couldnt even open the booklet, it got glued together, and when i first found that out at school i was in the middle of i test and i was slightly high from all the fumes coming from the shit that spilled in my bag and i bursted into tears and i was so embarrassed, no one would truly understand y i was crying but to me that was like burning the flag! i was torn as well as the lyrics, lmao im still sad about that! FUCK THIS TOPIC HAD TO REMIND ME ABOUT MY INCIDENT!
