cellophaneice Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 That's not really fair, now...It's stupid regardless of whose pictures they use.Obviously, Billie Joe made a mistake, and it's totally indefensible and was an irresponsible action (especially being a father...) but there's really no need to target a person for one such mistake versus giving accounts of the harm it's done in general - and I really don't understand what they're trying to do with the pictures when they want to legalize some kind of drinking and driving...blarg what I wanted to say I don't think actually came out the way I ment it to on here. It made sense in my head, but not here. So, Yeah ignore me.

If he weren't famous, he'd be able to quietly put the incident in the past, and move on. But because he's a celebrity, they have to throw it in his face, drudging up bad memories? Why? It's not fair at all. He made a mistake, and I'm sure it's one he sorely regrets. I don't think Booze Lobby took into consideration that the people that they are using in their adds are real people who have families and careers, and don't need this crap being brought up.

Although it was bad, and he was way over the limit, it only happened once, and he's kept a clean slate ever since with the law. They make him out to be an alcoholic mess who drives drunk all the time, and that just isn't the case.

He's been arrested and punished according to the law already. Once that has happened to someone they should be free to go on with their lives. The media shouldn't be allowed to choose to punish someone futher in this disproportionate way.
