slothmunkey Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Good Riddance (TOYL) They played that song the last year I was at my old school.I miss that place. It was also a song I caught a guy I used to like singing while I was singing it. Pretty funny at the time.My favorite GD song
Giulz Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Wasn't a significant moment in my life but American Idiot always reminds me of this really shitty cover band dressed up as the police that came to our school for a short concert.
vermout Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Wake me up when september endsit reminds me of my grandpa's death around ten years ago. Maybe it can be named as wake me up when december ends to meeverytime i listen to this song, i cant do anything just to think back the memories about him, i even cannot remember his face totally, time goes by unfeelingly
Slommy Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" always reminds me of myself walking in a certain road inside the compass of the university I go. This road is full of beautiful trees and green natural views. I always walk alone in this road, and the refrain "I walk alone, I walk alone" in the song reminds me of this! Loneliness!!!!!
Heather! Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Give me Novacaine reminds me of my ex,mostly because his name was Jimmy and that was kind of our song (give me a long kiss goodnight, tell me Jimmy I won't feel a thing)songs like Only of You and Paper Lanterns remind me of guys in my past.uhhh, One of My Lies always makes me think of when I went on a camping trip with my dad, I didn't have Kerplunk on my ipod, so I was just sitting in our RV for hours listening to it and texting my best friend, wishing I was home.Holiday just reminds me of when I saw GD live...There are more I can't think of, I assure you
Ally Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Many green day songs reminds me of something significant but not all for good reasons, wake me up when september ends reminds me of my grandad cos he died of cancer around the time of american idiots release (the album), er st Jimmy is highly significant to me cos it helped pull me out of my depressive period when everything was going wrong for me. But for good reasons I don't wanna fall in love, cos it pulled me and my best mate together, now were really close, and many other songs remind me of things!
MrGreenDayUK Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 This thread's interesting.Euhm, I dunno really, Christie Road sort of fucked me up a little for a while, because there was this one time I had it stuck in my head then saw the girl I was stupidly in love with, with this complete fucking twat of a wanker of a guy, then learnt they were going out. Ho-hum, shit happens, over it now.

Radioactive1 Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 None really.I suppose I could force myself to relate one to my life.
Starbug Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Wow. There are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many. That's not an exaggeration, this band has been a part of a lot of moments in my life, either directly or indirectly...Misery was playing at a party at my friend's house, and everybody wanted to know who it was, because they loved it. And that started the ball rolling for my group of friends falling in love w/ Green Day
