How Has Green Day Influenced You, For The Good Or Bad ?

Green Day has changed me in a lot of ways.

This may sound weird but I didn't listen to any music before them. I would like maybe a few Kelly Clarkson songs and perhaps a Beyonce song but I never actually liked a specific genre or artist(s). Now I like to listen to all types of rock.

I cuss a lot more now. I never used to cuss at all, so that was a change.

I wear a lot of black for some reason and black has become my new favorite color. This has become a problem because everytime we go shopping I always pick black clothes and my mom gets mad and we start fighting.

They've taught me not to really care what other people think.

There are some bad things though. Like sometimes my friends and i have these little stupid fights usually started because they bash Green Day and I bash their rap singers.

Overall I'm way happier now, and if I ever find any Green Day fans in real life I'll be even happier..

Yeah, Green Day was the first band I really listened to. Before we moved we had it on Radio Disney all the time so I wasn't introduced to a whole lot.

But Green Day was my first step to listening to a lot more.

And yeah... the cussing came along with it.

I only ask because thier music got me through my depression, I have much to thank them for, a hell of alot!

In a sense, yeah.

I've always been interested in playing guitar, though I've never pursued it. After I got into Green Day (Heavily), I actually did something about me wanting to play. Then, 3 years later, it's my life. So, yeah, Green Day played a decent role in that.

Green Day was one of many bands who influenced me to start playing guitar, I always wanted to learn but when I started listening to punk, punk rock, rock and such it gave me the push I needed to start playing for real insteed of just playing air guitar and drool over other people who played guitar

I've had my "I dont give a shit what you think" attitute most of my life

I never juded anyone before I got to know them, I've always stated my opinion reardless of what others think and such

Green Day has influenced me to play the guitar. And to be honest it was the first band I liked, cause I didn't listen to any music before. Green Day made me love punk-rock music.

Green Day is the first punk-rock band I ever heard so when I first heard them, it opened up new doors for me and I started listening to other punk bands and that's when i develped my passion for music. so they have influenced me for the better. Green Day have helped me through my depression, well they ended it. I' ve been suffering with it for about a year, I did'nt have any money for any new cds to listen to so I went through my sisters computer and had all the green day albums on so I thought great have'nt listened to them in a while, once I put it on my mp3 player I could'nt stop listening. It made me happy again I feel in love with them and became obsessed, having something to focus on helped alot.

So I guess they influenced me to be myself again

wow, that's exactly my story too, you put it so much better than i could ...life sucked for awhile and i'd really gotten away from music, but green day brought my enthusiasm for music - and maybe for life too - back...i've always had a major passion for music, but for awhile i just didn't give a damn about anything.
