Popular Post teenagekicks Posted January 18, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2024 Crazy that we’re able to enjoy a great band for this many decades. They’ve taken good enough care of themselves (and maybe sold their souls) to still be at the top of their game 35 years later. So now instead of production being used as a crutch like a lot of bands 35+ years into their careers, we’re able to hear stunning talent and crisp production that sounds natural and perfect. I’m not a music historian by any means, but I know there can’t be many rock bands that have sounded this good for this long from a technical skill standpoint. Touring, screaming, drugs, alcohol etc. tend to wear rock artists down but I’m very thankful the guys seem to be ok. 9 1 2
The Grohl Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 SAME. I just got a shipping notification after bitching at them and it's not coming until next week. The stupid store exclusives always keep me coming back, but I should know better at this point. I did order my CD from Amazon and I got a notification that it'll arrive tomorrow at least. 3 1

EastJesusNimrod21 Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 UK - My order is arriving tomorrow from the official store through Royal Mail 😁 just the had the shipped Email come through with tracking details! 2
Popular Post Reverend Strychnine Twitch Posted January 18, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2024 Back in early December in my first listens I had noted that Coma City, Father To a Son, Fancy Sauce were some of my favorites. That hasn't changed. Infact I loved Suzie Chapstick and Goodnight Adeline in time as well. I really believe that especially Father to a Son and Suzie Chapstick would be great follow up singles. Those two songs can catch everybodys attention and do very well on radio and charts. To have music videos for these two songs as singles will rocket the album to a next level I believe. By the way, I didn't see anybody mention it yet. If you listen Fancy Sauce with headphones you can even catch some hidden details. There's that similar Longview moment where Robert Eggplant is heard in the background right after ''call me what you will'. In Fancy Sauce if you listen closely with headphones, Tre counts with his drumsticks and a whistle is heard in the background right after ''favourite cartoon''. I'll share more thoughts in time ; ) 4 1
Popular Post Squashie Posted January 18, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2024 Amazon Music posted this video of the guys talking about certain songs and their favorites. I don't have a way to "record" this off instagram (sorry to those who don't have insta...) https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2QKo32JAXP/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link 4 2
Red Lights Flash Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 Dilemma, Bobby Sox and Look Ma No Brains are my favorites so far! Digging Fancy Sauce too. Least favorites are Coma City, Saviors and Father to a Son. 1
Popular Post DonaldTrump Posted January 18, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2024 The American Dream is Killing Me 6/10 Look Ma No Brains 6/10 Bobby Sox 1/10 One Eyed Bastard 7/10 Dilemma 9/10 1981 7/10 Goodnight Adeline 7/10 Coma City 5/10 Corvette Summer 9/10 Suzie Chapstick 10/10 Strange Days Are Here To Stay 8/10 Living in the 20s 10/10 Father to a Son 10/10 Saviors 7/10 Fancy Sauce 5/10 The Green Day songs, folks, some real winners like "Suzie Chapstick," "Living in the 20s," and "Father to a Son" – tremendous, perfect songs, just like me. Now, "Bobby Sox," I gotta be honest, not a fan of those lyrics, folks. I give it a 1/10. But overall, Green Day is doing a fantastic job, and we're making music great again! 1 7

steve46 Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 I thought TADIKM was one of the last songs being recorded. In the Amazon video Billie says it was the first?

Based on different interview answers it sounds like it was written first but recorded last. One interview they said it was written in 2020 but they felt it was too on the nose lyrically and seemed like low hanging fruit so they sat on it for a few years. 1
