With Warner I guess I'm gonna get the album a month after the release and the signed CD too.

Trying to figure out these song titles.   Bobby Sox makes sense - it's about somebody's biggest fan :)  One Eyed Bastard is the guy who's bullying some poor dude who owes him money.    Is Corvette Summer in any way related to the film of the same name?   I haven't seen that one (but I have recently watched Outsiders and Rumblefish and oh my word, Billie turned the entire story into lyrics, haha) so I don't know.   Could jut be a song about driving around.   But Suzie Chapstick....why is it called that?  I looked her up.   She's gotten into politics and is STILL ALIVE.   Maybe Billie connects her commercials with what woman this song is about....or whatever tragedy.   And Fancy Sauce....I don't know.     And Father of All.....I'd like to hear the origins of these dufey titles.

Okay, I have to map out how this is a concept record (even though it isn't).

It feels really poignant as Billie repurposes Smells Like Teen Spirit lyrics to reflect on how messed up 2024's society is.   "Everybody's Famous" is just.....poetic and great and....I know I'm famous.  You guys are famous.  Everybody's famous.    Stupid and contagious.

as we all die young someday.

we all die young someday.

we all die young and watch it slip away

 we all die young someday

I think goodnight adeline is sort of themed around the record label , considering the name and afi reference (sing the sorrow). but maybe I'm just overthinking

I was wondering if it had anything to do with the Adeline Records label they owned - or if anyone knows the significance of “Adeline”

Album lands in just days now and it still doesn’t feel real yet! I miss what I heard at my record store so bad 🤣

Also I showed the album to my GF the album and she loves theater.

we both agreed that it sounds a lot or tonally similar to Rent!

I am hoping someone can untangle the lyrics for Goodnight Adeline, the lyrics just don't seem like it's anything to do with the label. Adeline was named after Adeline St so maybe it's a goodbye to Oakland? Or is it a song for AD just using a different name?
