I feel this albums gonna have some gems and some stinkers. Hopefully I’m wrong and it’s all amazing, reading lyrics alone doesn’t usually do songs justice

I still remember the day nimrod came out, my mom took me to the record store to get it while my sister was at dance class. It would be a couple of hours until I got home to play the CD so when I first opened the lyrics booklet I read every song to the tune of Hitchin A Ride in my head lol

if lyrics is shit but the beat and tunes are a bop then fine with me. I find look ma no brains lyrics to be meh but that tune is so single worthy

I don’t love reading lyrics early because context matters a lot. We learned what the Dilemma lyrics were early and I had zero idea what to make of them, because I had no idea how they’d be delivered. 

That said, I think Bobby Sox seems really sweet and I dig the few Coma City lyrics we could make out.
