I’m ok with the horror knowing they rule all and will always rule even if they’re opening for the flavor of the minute. Although at this moment Fall Out Boy have been round for way longer than a hot minute. But seriously: American Idiot - the band is legendary and iconic - they even had that album turn into a musical which is wtf?? And it was performed all over the world. That’s like skipping stones over galaxies of genres and age groups etc. I love all the GD eras but that record changed their icon status for good. 12 Quote

Before Green Day went on they played like a two-minute hype video. Patrick wore a Green Day hat during their performance, and Pete made comments about how they were influenced by Weezer and Green Day and it was surreal to be on tour with them both... so I think everybody knows where they stand. 13 Quote

I'm mean, people are always telling me I have whack taste in everything, but dang. I love troll albums and albums made by 90s band after the rest of the fanbase has given up. Like the new Offspring record. It's got some issues, yes. But I love it. I tell an old-school Offspring that and their head explodes. At least I'm not one of those pineapple on pizza kinds. That's all that matters now. What else Green Day related do I have......oh yeah, I'm about to go elsewhere on the internet and tell people how great "Nightlife" was. I remember thinking while it was happening "damn, Billie could sing the phone book and he'd still sound and look good doing it." The band seemed to have a lot of fun with it, even though I believe Billie was reading the lyrics off a teleprompter. They also included the song in their "hype" video before they came out on stage (along with I Love Rock and Roll by Joan Jett) so it kind of makes sense with the whole theme of the tour.
