I'm disappointed that they won neither Best Live or Best Rock, but I'm so so happy to have finally seen them again on stage, taking an award with them. And TWO separate Green Day performances!! We received more than I was hoping for. They looked so good, they sounded excellent and Billie's speech in the end was just so so fucking fitting and even adorable, I mean did you hear his nervous "um"s? He's just such a sweetheart and a dork.

No, we decided to only go when signs for a secret show would have been more concrete. It's a 5 hour drive plus costs for a hotel and I thought it would be more worth it to save the money for the tour while it wasn't sure to get the chance to actually see them tonight without attending the awards.

Oh, didn't realize you were that far. Makes sense to hang back and save up for a proper tour and when you know for sure you'll see them.
