New shows setlist discussion

I wish they would do some Trilogy stuff, especially Dirty Rotten Bastards. I think that song would kill live:

• Audience can chant the "1-2-3" part.
• There's various tempos including a fast part for moshing.
• Several solos for guitar and bass.

Maybe one day...

I agree 100%. I don't really like DRB that much as a song, but it would be AMAZING live.

I would literally give anything to hear East Jesus Nowhere live...or even better, a couple of songs from Insomniac (I'm looking at you Stuart and the Ave & Bab's Uvula Who?)!

I don't hate it but it doesn't really matter to me if they play it. If I could choose one song to add to the setlist, it wouldn't be it. 21CB, EJN or lots of other songs would be better.

Agreed. There's so many other songs to choose from. They already play a lot of songs from American Idiot.

Second this. Also, if they added something more from AI, I hope it would be Whatsername.

Adding new songs from AI shouldn't be allowed

Whatsername would be great. But I would rather want to hear some songs from Insomniac or 21CB. I'm doubtful but we'll see what happens for the summer shows. Cannot wait.

With the addition of Give Me Novocaine in Australia, they were getting near to playing the whole album :P But I would absolutely love to hear Whatsername one day.

Same, Insomniac and Breakdown are two of my personal favorites so I do hope we'll get to hear some of them. I've become more hopeful since the Oz setlist changes.

Such teasers. :( If they add some I will be disapponted if it's Brain Stew/Jaded again.

That's a good idea, but I think there's no way they'd get rid of BOBD :P

As long as they play Dookie or Kerplunk songs I'm not that fussed about the lack of Insomniac because most songs from those albums give you a similar live experience (like, they're all quick and energetic old school pop punk songs that they rip through). I would really like it if they brought Brain Stew/Jaded back though because that's more unique with the metal thing and the crazy breakdancing.

Yes, give us Brain Stew/Jaded from Insomniac, Whatshername from AI (it's possible, since Jeff Matika said he'd love to hear that song), East Jesus Nowhere from 21st BD, Welcome To Paradise from Dookie/Kerplunk and a few rarities on top, please!

We'll have to see. I don't think this'll be the last change-up, but I don't think change-ups will be that frequent nor that extensive (i.e. total surprises). However, I could be completely wrong, because they played Give Me Novacaine for the first time in 5 years, and LNOE for the first time in 7 years!
