Libertine Angel Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Decent enough, but definitely no more than that.

That Dude Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 It's no "Troublemaker" but it's nice. Haha, I'm kidding.
PursuitOfEpicness Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 If I hear this live i'm going to cry that's all there is to it
Michi1 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 This is so, so, so much better than Good Riddance imho. Learning to live with the world and life as it is, whether than what you wish it was, that's one of the hardest things in my experience. He NAILS that feeling of nostalgia and also the wistfulness. YES YES YES

Slash Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I really love this song, its weird many fans are just finding it "average". I think its a really great song. It had a lot of depth in it and somehow I can relate to it. Well done Billie.
Tubbie Head Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 Really love this song, it sounds so beautiful.
gerardsangel4977 Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 lol from the first time I heard this in Geezer, I kept thinking it sounded like Green Day Does Death Cab. I still feel that way (not that this is necessarily a bad thing), but I admit I was afraid that the studio recording would be overly polished and end up taking all the charm out of it. Pleasantly surprised to see it is not! These are some bare-ass vocals, my goodness.
aydge89 Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Bit of an average finish to the album. Was hoping for something more epic like Whatsername. It's not a bad song but I can't imagine myself listening to it often unless I'm listening to the album from beginning to end.
gmcloughlin Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I really like this song. There's nothing fantastic about the lyrics, and I kinda wish there had been another verse instead of Billie repeating the first one, but the song serves as such a great ending to an album filled with anger, fear, etc. It's simple and really winds the album down. I'm looking forward to hearing this live
dudley dawson Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Is it weird this is my favorite song on the album? This may be their best ballad since Good Riddance (or at least just as good as 21 Guns). It made me think how great an acoustic-only BJ solo album could be.
The Grohl Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 So I like this song. Took a minute to grow on me, but like others have said I love the soft, mellow, lullaby nature to it. Does it fit on the album? I don't think so. And I don't think it should've ended it. it either should've been placed earlier or not at all on RevRad. Personally, I find Forever Now a much better closer. To me it has the same epic feeling as JoS or Homecoming.
tdlyon Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 If we were gonna get a song from the movie on the album I definitely would have preferred Devil's Kind but I still like this song

So beautiful, great closer in my opinion.
Christian's Inferno! Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 While I think this song is ok, I definitely think it's the weakest and I would much prefer if the album ended with Forever Now. It seems like they were trying to do another Whatsername with a softer song coming after a multi-part song, or another Good Riddance with another acoustic guitar song but it failed miserably. I would've much preferred to hear Devil's Kind on the album (in the middle of album, not the closer), although I would be fine with neither of them being on the album I still prefer the studio version of OW much more than the live version they did at the Tribeca Film Festival. I bet the song is better just for the movie, although I haven't seen the movie yet so I wouldn't know
RougeRogue Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 So the weird thing for me with this song is that historically, I have really not liked any of their ballads or slower songs. Rest, No One Knows, Are We The Waiting, The Forgotten, 21 Guns especially are all some of my absolute least favorites. And if I am being honest, it took a while to let Good Riddance have a good standing with me. And it's that instrumental bridge that does it for me ultimately. Hell, I don't even have the patience for the first half of BOBD or September and usually skip it. But somehow this, See You Tonight, Amy and like that first part of Somewhere Now became some of my favorites. I admit that I've gotten a lot more into acoustic songs as I've gotten older and maybe that's it. Also, I feel like he drew from his experience with Foreverly for this. It reminds me of that album, which I also didn't hate and actually really like Roving Gambler a lot.
Met Fan Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I liked this song okay until I saw the movie and I just love it now.

M0n3y Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 This song gives me the chills. Every. Time. Again. It feels so Green Dayish; simple, beautiful and great lyrics.

St. Jonny Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Amazingly written tune! Works perfect before Good Riddance live and a perfect album closer. Another pure stroke of genius that only Billie can bring. Still gotta watch the movie, wish you could just pick it up at Wal Mart or something.
Second favourite son Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 So Billie's just said in a radio interview that this was written originally for the movie, and then added to the album. Is this the first time they've done that with a song, rather than putting a song on an album and it being picked for a movie? Personally, it doesn't change my feelings towards the song (still love it!), but maybe it will for others. Then again, since Billie's so involved with the film it's still 100% Green Day.
