I loved Bang Bang's lyrics bc it's an issue I'm interested in, and RevRad's lyrics were sort of the same way. or may be this song doesn't have good lyrics. After what Billie told about this song , me and a lot of people got ready to get hit by lyrics , may be a lot them did but i didn't . And it's not because i am emotionless cause the other day i cried to Poprocks and Coke it's just the song doesn't have good lyrics .. subject may be heavy but lyrics are...shit. That's not because you're unconnected. if it makes you feel better i don't like this song either. But i'm also disappointed cause i expected a lot. as a song from my land says , expectations only makes you sad.
HAPPY ZOMBIE UNICORN Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 This song is gold. Considering the context where it's going to be published it's platinum. Just find another contemporary band able to put inside the same record four songs with four so different styles and energies like Bang Bang, Revolution Radio, Still Breathing and Ordinary World. I love these guys and this record is going to be mind-blowing .

desertrose Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I really like this song. Sounds great!
Alan86 Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 So what lovely person what's to post the lyrics.? I know they must have been posted somewhere on this thread.
DookieLukie Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I think Bang Bang was a deceptive single. It made people think the album would be hard, fast, and raw. Turns out it's the fastest and hardest song on the album.

I'm not disagreeing with your reasoning for not liking it (that's a perfectly reasonable explanation). But personally I look at this song as positive, not angsty. It's all about how you may have been through a tough time, you might've almost died, you might be struggling, but hey, you're still here and that's worth celebrating. That's worth trying to find your way back to your loved ones and trying to gain healthy perspective on what you've experienced. Even Billie said in one of the early RS interviews that he hopes this song makes people happy and that they can relate to it. So I definitely don't think he intended it to drag people down.
Chin for a Day Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I'm like a child looking off in the horizon I'm like an ambulance that's turning on the sirens Oh, I'm still alive I'm like a soldier coming home for the first time I dodged a bullet and I walked across a landmind Oh, I'm still alive Am I bleeding? Am I bleeding from the storm? Just shine a line into the wreckage, so far away, away Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way My way to you I'm like a junkie tying off for the last time I'm like a loser that's betting on his last dime Oh, I'm still alive I'm like a son that was raised without a father I'm like a mother barely keeping it together Oh, I'm still alive Am I bleeding? Am I bleeding from the storm? Just shine a line into the wreckage, so far away, away Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way, my way... As I walked out on the ledge Are you scared to dance to live? I been running all my life Just to find a home that's for the restless And the truth that's in the message Making my way, away, away Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way, my way... Cause I'm still breathing Cause I'm still breathing on my own My head's above the rain and roses Making my way, my way My way to you

Oh it's not dragging me down. Maybe what I need is more angst then lol. I just feel like the topic itself has been done to death. I respect Billie for letting these words out from a dark place, but I think the lyrical content is just not that compelling to me.

Teenage Lush Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 really feels to me like the most honest personal song billie has written in a long time. i didn't love it on first listen but i'm sold on it now. i got a little emotional listening to it while i was driving
Haushinka! Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I'm surprised and conflicted. I think it's catchy as fuck, and a perfect radio-friendly track, but it doesn't sound like the band I know and love. When I was listening to the chorus specifically, I was like "Is this even Billie singing?" I think the lyrics are great and emotional. However, they're overshadowed by the generic melody and overall sound. To me, it sounds like any other pop song that was made with one purpose: topping the charts. This track is disappointing for me personally, but I can see it being a mainstream success. I appreciate the variety of sound from each of the singles so far, though. Seems like the album will be a mix of everything. Now excuse me while I go listen to Insomniac.
xXRustyJamesXx Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 in my opinion the song looses a lot of felling and soul in the verse because of the tempo should have been a bit slower... Still diggin the verse, the chorus as well as the bridge are okay but nothing too special The lyrics are great and I love that there's a different feel to this song. The Co-writer thing kind of takes down my enthusiasm because not knowing what is Billies content freaks me out. What I am missing in this song are some personality and some spicy guitar bits or some different instruments. This song still might grow on me so let's see. I'd say it's a 6.5/10
Afflejack Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I love it I love it I love it. It makes me feel happy.
stories and songs Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 I love it for its power, but I'd love to hear a slower version of this song. Can you imagine how beautiful an acoustic cover would be? I agree that there would be a little something extra there if it wasn't quite as fast.

Yeah I get what you mean. While I personally wouldn't change anything about the other two songs, This one has a HUGE chorus!
Akshat Jain Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 it'll be the next BOBD. it's so good and catchy! i guess, I'll sing it at my college's fresher's night
stories and songs Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 It TOTALLY has BOBD vibes to me.
