This song is probably my least favourite from the album. its always a skip for me - sounds a bit too much like what we've heard before (i.e: trilogy)

Green Day's first mention of Satan in their lyrics.  In the world we live in that would probably get censored on the radio.  But when I listen to it, even as a religious person, I understand what he's trying to say.

Is it really? I feel like they must have before.

I always interpreted this song as an addendum to Outlaws, basically a reflection of the carelessness of their early Gilman days.

CONFIRMED - NEW METAL BAND "GREENDAY" THREATENS OUR YOUTH!

Also, I think you're right, unless you count "the devil" in Nightlife.

I was reading the lyrics in the booklet while listening to it and I saw that where he actually says "Concrete dream, I'm gonna make a scene, a radio, covered in gasoline", in the booklet is written differently, and it's "Concrete dream, I wanna hear you scream, the radio, covered in gasoline" and it makes me laugh ahah

Yeah I noticed that too, wrote about it in some other thread. It's weird. But I'm happy that you understand "I wanna make a scene", too, I already thought I'm imagining things :D

I hear it too. And I like it better so I'm going to believe it :P

Kind of sounds like a foxboro hottubs song. Which I love.

Bouncing off the Wall embodies actually what the Trilogy could have been: a fun song with a catchy tune and semi-tossed off lyrics that aren't completely generic or totally absurd.

Every time I hear this one I seem to like it more. It's at the same enjoyment level as Youngblood for me, I think.

I like BOTW because it's one of rare songs on RevRad that sounds like a Trilogy song. Most other songs are garbage.

So? He still insulted the trilogy! Get him!

After the election results yesterday I feel like I understand this song on a new level.

At first, I thought it was another party song, reminiscent of the trilogy. But now, it's like people's minds literally exploded from the stupidity making rounds in the US. Just the intense amount of Facebook statuses, articles, and protests yesterday put this into context: "We're all getting pissed, and everybody's bouncing off the walls".

Chasing fireflies and zeros...BILLIE WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN

You expect anything other than random word salad after the title track's chorus? :P

I know these are old comments, but I don't know why since the first time I heard the song I thought "chasing zeros" meant chasing money, fireflies on the other hand, no idea what he meant by that.

I always think this song is too slow. Maybe 5 or 10 BPM more would have made the difference between a good song and the new KYE.

Winner winner chicken dinner.  The topic the guys have in mind here is the insanity that gets blasted out in social media.

"I'm gonna make a scene, my radio, covered in gasoline, sleeping in reverse and everybody's bouncing off the walls" is my Twitter feed in a nutshell.  "Fireflies and zeroes" are trendy, trending topics - fleeting lights, flashing every which way in the dark, without actually creating anything lasting, meaningful, or tangible...one lights up, you focus on it for a second before another one takes its place and you totally forget about the first.

This sounds like a song that could have been on Uno or Dos(especially dos)or FH with a touch of 21st century breakdown. I love it.

I've thought the same. Kind of feel like many of the songs on Rev Rad could fit with Uno, Dos and Trè. And I don't mind

Talk about rare unicorns. I've yet to hear any song besides BB, RR and SB. Waiting for SG and Forever Now.

Yeah I was pretty surprised! The DJ must have been a fan.
