04 - Say Goodbye

This song is so badass and I will never, ever get over it. The actual gasp that occurred when I first heard this song for the first time is something I'll always remember. Heavier/darker Green Day is my favorite, and this is just. so. amazing.

I LOVE that song! :D

It's got a bit of Burn It To The Ground about it, I'll give you that!

I heard it for the first time while watching American Pie 2 when the guys invite Stifler to their vacation :D Really cool song.

I love it! Definitely the one that stuck with me after my first listen to the whole album :D

I love this song, except for one reason.  God I hate to agree with  Seagull, it just kills me, but it is too repetitive.  The lyrics are great, when you get to them.  You have to get through 10,000 Say good bye to the ones we love before you get to the lyrics.  OTher than that, great track.

I kind of like that though. It gives it a Rage Against the Machine vibe, which I'm all about. Idk I like when repetition is used in politically charged music.

I don't really like that much repetition.  I had actually tuned out the lyrics because it got so repetitve until someone told me they were good.   Then I made  point to pay more attention to them.  For me the repetition makes the statement less effective because it takes so  long to get to the message.

As I said before I think it sounds like a song Muse could have done, and I actually like it. One of this album highlights.

The kind of songs I wanted from this album, i'm not disappointed. It's really catchy.

this is one of those songs that you walk around to while blasting it in your headphones and you can't help but to feel like a badass

Definitely has the swagger East Jesus Nowhere has but I think comparisons to Holiday are ridiculous, Holiday and EJN have way more energy but Say Goodbye it's a banger nevertheless

Agreed.  But I think SAy Goodbye is even more repetitive than KYE

Holy shit this is good stuff. Could be a massive single if they released it as one!

Still not feeling this, I don't get the love for it. But hey, whatever floats your goat.

I disagree with comparisons to East Jesus Nowhere and Beautiful People, though. Similar instrumentation and tempo with a triplet feel is kind of where it ends.

This one took me by surprise and I love it. I can see how it could be a little too repetitive for some but for me the guitar hooks and the overall instrumentation more than make up for it. Honestly it creeps me out a little bit and that's awesome! "Say hello to the cops on patrol, Say hello to the ones in control". Shivers. If they don't play this live, I'm going to throw a fit.

Currently my favorite song on the album despite some problems I have with it's vocals mixing.

Haven't been that emotionally moved by a GD song since Holiday, pretty great.

Second favourite on the album. Bit repetitive but I love it either way. I can imagine a montage of them getting ready to rock a gig to this song lol.

I think I like it, it's a bit too alt-rock as opposed to punk but it's alright.

This is train track western grunge. Nobody may get what I mean by this but that clapping in the beginning sounds cowboy westerny to me  I like the song I'll say that. I kind of forgot it though.. a little bit filler
