I think that's the point of the song. It should not be something you relate to, it should shock you. I also think the lyrics can be seen as sarcastic and a dig at the media. The media are making celeb

I don't think there will be a music video. The lyrics video is perfect as it is, it reminds of Franco Un-American

It's weird. There's so much effort and cool things happening with lyric videos that they are the music videos. They're usually much more interesting. For instance, all of Muse's lyric videos for Drones were way better than the actual videos.

Holy moly guys. I'm so in love with this song. I don't know how many times I've listened already. Kudos to the Virgin Radio guy for playing it twice. I died of laughter when they cut Blink off to play it (though I love those guys!). Sounds like East Jesus Nowhere and St. Jimmy, aka AMAZING. I get the Peacemaker comparison too. I don't understand the comparisons to early records though? There's many a bit of Nimrod in there but this song wouldn't have been out of place during American Idiot era.

YES, if you mean what I think you mean. The little vacuumy thing? Reminds me of The Moment by Tame Impala, a song I adore.

I was just in my car driving home and Bang Bang was played.  After it was over the DJ was going on about how great it was to have them back.  He said that eventually the back story of what has been going on the past 4 years will come out, but it has nothing to do with drugs or alcohol.  DJ said that there's been a lot of heartbreak and tragedy for the band that has turned out, apparently, good.  He said answers would surely be given, that he has the answers but doesn't feel comfortable sharing them.  He said "it was just something the band wanted us to know with the release".

Thought I would share this.  I haven't had time to read the Rolling Stone interview or the past pages on this topic, so sorry if this is already known.

Oh my god!!!! I love this song. I knew it would be awesome but its even more awesome than what I was hoping for! Now they just need to bring out the video!
