Well, my initial thoughts are that this is an inspired song. It has the sincerity and passion that I expect from Green Day. It is topical, without being too "of the moment," so to speak, or being particularly ham-fisted. Most importantly, it simply "feels right." I definitely approve of this song; I look forward to hearing the entire record.

I'm sure I'll have more to say later, but I need to take some time to absorb all of this.

How is this song NOT ham-fisted? :o

I decided I'm gonna do my best to get both the CD and the vinyl. I probably can't get it from their site though...that shipping kills me. As long as my money is good I'll get both. If not, I'm gonna get what I can afford, maybe the vinyl, and ask for the other one for Christmas.

I said "not particularly ham-fisted" - in other words, I'm not bothered by its straightforwardness. I believe it to be sincere writing from Billie; I accept it for what it is.

I think I'm gonna preorder both! :D

I think it's great that they produced the album themselves!!!  I truly can't wait to hear the whole thing

I've always bought Green Day CDs so I'll be a little bummed if they don't bring out a 'normal' CD and only a lyric book like AI and 21CB. Even though I mainly buy vinyl these days, Green Day on CD will always be a number 1 choice for me. Saying that I only have Demo on vinyl and not CD...

I'm going to do exactly the same haha first the vinyl then maybe ask the CD+Lyrics for christmas. Now my only doubt is if I order the vinyl with the IN membership...

The song is amazing, tomorrow I will start to try to learn how to play it. Tré's drum play is definitly beyond the top, better than ever! And that basslines from Mike are awesome

See? That's a great plan! So I'm going to wait for pre-orders. I don't know if the booklet will be offered anywhere else though :/ I decided to pass on the IN membership. I don't think it's worth it and now so many websites and radio stations hold their own pre-sales for tickets it feels unnecessary.

I'm not impartial to straightfowardness either, but it just seems kind of weak in my opinion when discussing something like mass shooting, especially from the perspective of a potential mass shooter. It's surface level.

I like this song and I think it's great choice to put it as a first single. I feel some sort of tension while listening to it. From what I read in the RS interview and song lyrics seems like an appropriate intro to Revolution radio.
Billie really knows how to put great lines together. Thumps up, guys.

Can't wait for my sister to come back from work and fangirl with her. She still hasn't said anything about it but she was listening to Virgin radio at work!

The song has certainly sparked some strange feelings in some people, haha. I just saw a girl comment on Billie's latest Instagram post that she lost her virginity to "Bang Bang" and glimpsed another comment addressing Billie as "Abaddon" (my first thought was "the Venom drummer?" but I'm assuming that that's not what she meant).

My mum was dancing around the kitchen while Bang Bang played on the radio and ended it with “it’s not as good as their earlier stuff” mother are you serious

Oh, and then came ACDC's "Back in Black" and she said: "... is that still Green Day?"

MOTHER YOU HAVE LOST YOUR JUDGING PRIVILEGES
