Will Green Day play at the "The Lookouting" lookout records reunion show?

Lookout! Records no longer exists, so that wouldn't really be a reason. The event is being put on by Taco Truck Records.

Lookout! basically had been using the proceeds of Green Day's album sales (along with Operation Ivy's "Energy") to fund their other projects instead of paying the bands. Green Day and the members of Op Ivy allowed this to continue for more than a decade and were promised that they'd get their money back. It never happened. GD yanked their catalog from Lookout! in 2005 and Op Ivy followed shortly after.

Speaking of Op Ivy, we can all dream of that reunion... Too bad Jesse Michaels' voice is completely shot.

Wasn't that in 03? Or was 03 just the last time Lookout repressed the first two GD albums? Thought the digipack was 03 (but that's been a long time ago don't remember)

January '04 I believe. A digipack Kerplunk was supposed to follow two months later but it never happened. It wasn't until August 2005 that Green Day removed their catalog. Even though we never got the Kerplunk digipack, the Reprise version is remastered. It doesn't say it anywhere on the credits but I compared the "waveforms" of the two CDs and there's no doubt.

I'm pretty sure it was more than just Green Day and Op Ivy that weren't getting their royalties. I think Fifteen also pulled their Lookout albums, but I'm not certain. I'll have to ask Jack. 

I'm glad Jesse has been saying for a while that his voice is shot- I knew Operation Ivy wouldn't be reuniting and I didn't have to worry about figuring out a vacation to CA!

It's a multi-night event. The first show was Sunday, and technically one tonight but at another venue. Then this coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I'll be going to the Friday and Saturday shows.

Billie Joe was at Gilman yesterday, according to his Instagtram post. There was noting going on there that day. I wonder why he was there? He's been playing PHGP songs with folks lately. My spider senses are tingling... Hey, I've been right before!

He had make-up on and Tré was there too. And they are making a video for RevRad. I think we are onto something. 

As crazy as it sounds, I guess they are recording their vid at Gilman.

Oh that would be so sweet and so nostalgic . The Still Breathing video already made me cry too much, dammit, Green Day
