Slowly and surprisingly I'm starting to like the video more and more. When I first saw it, I didn't really get the point of the video and I thought that's not really much interesing, but my favourite part was when the robbers turned out to be two girls and a boy, I didn't expect such resolution at all :D And I also like that little chaos at the end.  But still, the video for Walking Contradiction will always have a special place in my heart :D

I don't think any video will ever beat Walking Contradiction, though my favorite remains 21CB.

Anybody watch Good Mythical Morning? Guys, go watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dlyd9CpkeM. It's today's episode, and Green Day is mentioned early in the start of the show in a way that totally blew my mind in context to the new music video for Bang Bang. (Now assuming you clicked the link) Had anyone heard this story of the real life "Green Day bank robber?" I seriously can't decide if it's all a freak coincidence or if that girl is the original inspiration for the music video. What do you make of it? There's definitely some uncanny similarities to draw.

HAHA oh my god! That is kinda freaky. Stole a car, robbed a bank, bragged about the money... "I love Green Day!"

Yeah, that one is cool too. :) And I really like Nice Guys Finish Last, but I don't know why it's not on their official Youtube channel :ermm:

I've never seen that one. I always thought they should have made one for Church on Sunday.

Oh, I really like that song, probably my favourite from Warning among the others.
Well, the video is on Youtube, so try to find it like a official music video :) It's funny ;)

No matter how I turn it around in my head, I can't think of any other option than this girl somehow being the inspiration for the music video :runaround:

I know Bang Bang is getting the right amount of love it deserves but I do think is a catchy song, unlike a lot of guys in here.

Revolution Radio is 10 x catchier but still, "I want to be a celebrity martyr" that part is very catchy.

Based on the bad ass performance of Mike Dirnt in this video, I guess a lot of people are going to be very impressed with his vocals, and so I feel the need to put it out there that it's all Billie Joe on this song. As per usual Billie does all the backing vocals in the studio, and Mike and the others do them live. But for the purpose of the video, it was pretty cool that he did them, and very intensely at that

I still have a hard time understanding the YouTube view counter. I think it slowly increases the view number rather than have anything close to real time. Other videos that have 15k likes have an average of 500,000 views and this one had 15k likes in 3 hours, and only shows 70k views. I'm guessing they slowly increase the view number so that when the buzz dies off for the video, the view numbers don't just stop. I dunno.. it's weird.

My guess is the video has 400-500k views, but YouTube has their own way of increasing the displayed view count.

Likes, dislikes and comments are real-time, views and subscriptions are delayed slightly.

Loving the semi-windmill that Mike does with his arm at 0:34.

Presumably they robbed a bank in order to be able to afford a Green Day concert

catchy  on the first listen =/= good.

those are the songs you get tired of. i didn't know the melody to bang bang after the first listens, yet liked it right away for the energy. and i needed to listen again and again to notice everything thats going on. listening to RR i already knew the song after the first chorus. also there are catchy melodies that just evolve after a few listens. take insomniac for example. really catchy record with great melodies, but they need some time to get into your head. RR doesn't need 10 seconds for that. that's why i compared it to a childrens song before.

So I'm not sure if this has been pointed out 100 times or not at all, but my boyfriend insists Green Day stole the set/plot from this Pierce the Veil song, (ironically called King for a Day).  The bank does look like it's the same set lol.
