XXXNoOneKnowsXXX Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Everybody loves the blonde girl but i prefer the girl with black hair, she's more beautiful I like the new video, I think this video is the best music video of Green Day since 21st Century Breakdown.

tdlyon Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 The blonde girl looks like Juno Temple but I doubt it's actually her

We ended up making eye-contact for a couple of seconds and he laughed
StuckWithDom Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I thought it was really cute how Mike wore Billie Joes sons band T-shirt (Danger), and coincidently the video was released on Jakobs 18th birthday

desertrose Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I really like the video. One of the best Green Day has done. I love that song, glad to finally have a video.
tresexy101 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I've been drinking and had some xanax, but I think the blonde is Taylor Swift and the other human that has a vagina is Katy Perry, Both of them are part of the Illuminati. I have the hiccups.

Like the Orlando shooter doing a crime to earn the respect of ISIS, the people in masks are committing a robbery to impress Green Day. Just like ISIS had nothing to do with the shootings, Green Day has nothing to do with the robbery, but the media thinks they do. I think it's also a commentary in celebrity worship and obsession, as these "fangirls" stare at Billie like he's the face of God, and they're begging for his approval. I completely agree with your interpretation. Now that I think about it after watching the video it totally makes sense especially with the media wanting to place blame on a group that really had nothing to do with the act and the perpetrator was looking to get approval like to say I did this for you so please notice me and give me praise
jengd Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Those drums, Tre is awesome! Love the matching colour in his hair and tats 😍
tresexy101 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 To tell the truth - the video is lacking of what the meaning of the song is. But, I love GD and myself.

Their new music....is a Boulevard of Broken Dreams rip off! Down to Derick's arm movements are he's walking by an old movie projection that's playing behind him. WOW. No it's not. Are you just salty because that music video actually makes sense when put together with the lyrics and Deryck's condition before the album?

Thatsername Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Gee! I wanna be at that party. Green Day playing in your living room, how cool would that be?
Tubbie Head Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I still prefer the lyric video. But this one was actually really nice. Those masks are awesome!
Second favourite son Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Just turned on Kerrang! TV to see if they were showing the new video... And they're playing the lyric video instead! Not complaining, but why?!
Brutalitops Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Its not bad or anything, but it's extremely forgettable and won't stand out years from now. I have the somewhat unpopular opinion that Green Day has struggled in the video department ever since Warning. Still think their best video since 2000 has been Stray Heart.

I'v been a fan for 20 years. This is nothing more than an average music video. Even so it's good to see them playing. Their last perfect album was Warning and so is their last great music video. Minority and Waiting both made much more impact on me.

I think the same, and the video, although it has "do-it-yourself" low budget vibe, is pretty cool, better than any from trilogy, maybe as good quality as the ones from 21stCB. Ok... let's see what's next?
sherribomb Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I don't know if anyone already mentioned it but this video seriously reminded me of this terrible teen movie my older sister used to watch called Sugar & Spice, in which a bunch of cheerleaders rob a place in rubber masks.

I partly share that opinion as they have put out quite a few mediocre videos this century, but I do think American Idiot was very memorable as a comeback video (and all the videos from that album as a set as well really since they share a similar style, even though I don't personally like several of them), and Holiday, 21st Century Breakdown, Stray Heart and now Bang Bang are very good. I found this one quite striking, best since 21st CB I'd say.

Don't forget Macy's day parade music video. And that one was filmed in one shot which is even more impressive.
