HandGrenade39 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Im hoping for a show ( or two or three...) in Austria, preferable Vienna

They usually do smaller and less shows before doing arenas/amphitheaters but they will announce the first leg shortly after or during this run. Then we might get a second leg as they did on the TCB tour which would really be 3 legs. edit: forgive me for using the term "noob". I fucking hate that word and I used it for the first time I think. Tongue and cheek though Anyway, yes, 100% there will be lots and lots more dates in big venues. Bands don't make money on record sales anymore and GD love to tour and they will be playing large venues. These shows are not to just practice but to also gauge what they can or can't do during the first leg of the big tour. This is common practice for them and every big band. Ive been watching them since 94. Trust. You have so quickly become my favorite poster.
dori711 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Hi everyone! I'm also hoping some shows in Austria, or maybe Hungary... But it's a small country. Nevermind, I'll check back on the summer tour dates. Hope dies last.
amberwhite Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 They really need to add more dates soon. I was crushed to see a dozen dates in the U.S. that are thousands of miles away and too soon to attempt to get time off work. Seriously, I teared up.😔

Except I have three dates, all less than 150 miles and I can't make any of them.

Aw, not even NYC or Boston? I'm so glad they're coming to the House of Blues, and on a Saturday evening to boot!

I was really bummed, but they will add more dates eventually.
Paola17 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Hopefully those will be cheaper then these for the intimate shows.
Private Ale. Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 that's my question too and i need to know there will be a summer tour to be happy. Even more , a tour in europe (usa is too expensive) and even more,a tour in July/august. i'm asking for too much but the possibility gets me excited

MaraGreenDay Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I'm really hoping for more dates and other countries, this is the last tour I'm waiting for them, cause if it's not this one then I'm sure we're screwed for future tours
Maddie86 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 even if I could go to one of these shows I bet I wouldn't be able to get tickets. I was kind of hoping they might announce a couple more dates but I doubt it. If they added an upstate NY date for Friday Sept 30th or Sunday October 2nd that would be awesome! there's a 3000 capacity club in binghamton, that would be amazing and perfect for this tour!
T.C Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Are they going to do more than just USA and Europe? Is is this normal for them, in that they announce other continents later?

My bets are on Novarock which will fit in the Hurricane /Southside timeframe.
BucksCoEric Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 For what its worth, i checked the tour section for 2009 when they started touring 21st century breakdown and the 1st leg for the US tour spanned about two months. And between the last US date in october and the first european date in january there's about a 2.5 month break. So them starting a proper US arena tour in late october and going till close to new years is definitely plausible. I'm sure they'll announce more european dates for 2017 as well and perform on a couple late night shows.
PurpleIron1039 Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Does anyone know how quickly GD tickets usually go? The sale opens to the general public at 9am on Friday, but I'll be in school then. I'm a bit worried that I won't be able to get tickets.

amberwhite Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Good luck to all of you trying to get tickets tomorrow.Try to get some videos for us unfortunates that can't go.

Crap. I get home at 2:30pm. Do you think I have a chance of getting tix?
Chris Durso Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 The one thing about the tour is they book the Philadelphia one in the middle of th gheto. still undecided. Dose anyone know how long a green day show normally is?
Grinch Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I'm guessing it's been posted somewhere else but YES there will be more dates. PLEASE COME TO MN

A smaller venue is much more fun than having to wait for like 8+ hours at a festival, most of the time in the summer heat, and having to see other bands that I dont enjoy till Green Day finally appears ^^

I hope so because I have decided not to go for the IN rip-off!
