Justin1 Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 I think the most 'Logical' Setlist: Somewhere Now Revolution Radio Know Your Enemy Stay The Night Holiday Boulevard of Broken Dreams Longview Basketcase She Going to Pasalacqua 2000 light Years Away Hitchin' A Ride Brain Stew Jaded St. Jimmy Bang Bang Still Breathing Oh Love 21 Guns Stray Heart Waiting X-Kid WMUWSE Forever Now Minority Encore: American Idiot Jesus Of Suburbia When I Come Around Ordinary World Time Of Your Life
Stefano Bras Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Actually, forget what I said, I think is useless to try to predict the setlist before hearing the new album.

I loved it when they opened with Welcome to Paradise during the last tour, so I'm hoping for that even though it's unlikely. Hm, most gigs opend with 99 Revolutions- where the tour derived its name. Thus it would be logical to open these concerts with Revolution Radio..
Second favourite son Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I'd be very surprised if they didn't open with revolution radio. It has everything you're looking for in an opener (call and response vocals, fast pace etc) and it's the title track, which, looking at history, makes it a very likely opening song.
TessTheGreatt Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I think there'll be a difference in set lists between the clubs & the large tour. Probably a better chance of hearing more older 39/smooth & brand new songs at he clubs than there will be at the larger venue tour.
smashedvinyl Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I wouldn't be surprised by something like American Idiot Bang Bang Rev Rad Holiday Boulevard Scattered Nuclear Family New Song New Song Burnout Welcome to Paradise Letterbomb Armatage Shanks Brain Stew/Jaded Longview She New Song When I Come Around Basket Case 2000 Light Years St. Jimmy Minority encore: New song JOS Waiting Ordinary World Time of your life That's based on the notion they might mix it up a bit
TimmyChunks Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Who knows, I'm sure the club shows will feature a lot of Lookout! material and deep tracks, and the arena shows will be more of a greatest hits collection as always. However, if I had to make a random guess about a unique set, I'd pencil in Webster the day after the album release for a front to back RR set. May not happen, as this isn't a pure concept album like AI (they took this approach during a very limited club run immediately after album release in '04). However, if there is one stop where they may play the whole thing start to finish, it would seem Webster is the likely candidate.
GuitarPunk94 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I wonder if they will still get some fans on stage again to play/sing a song with them! would be sick! and a dream to come true, I am literally able to play every GD song on guitar and drums oi
Platypus2000 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Forgot about X-Kid....holy fuck imagine.
xLumian Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Honestly, think they will play the new album in its entirety to promote it - similar to what they did in the club shows for 21st Century Breakdown. Really just letting the music speak for itself and promoting the album that way. After that, just hits from throughout their career: - Welcome to Paradise - Basket Case - When I Come Around - She - Brain Stew - Minority - Jesus of Suburbia, American Idiot, Holiday, Boulevard - Know your Enemy - Stay the Night & probably 1 other trilogy song. - Good Riddance
Operation: No Control Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 My prediction is as follows: 01. Revolution Radio 02. Scattered 03. Know Your Enemy 04. Bang Bang 05. tresexy101 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 It will be the whole RevRad album with some sugar and sweets in between. Just shook my My Magic 8 Ball and it said yes. Now don't make me go to my Ouija Board. The Illuminati doesn't like Ouija Boards. I don't want to make the powers that be, well, make me disappear. I like living. Thank you and I just want to let you all know that I love you. Whoops, I don't, just thinking of 'When It's Time'.

They will have a majority of the newer album, especially because it's going to do so well but they will play all of their #1s of which KYE is one. It's also a very good live song. Not sure where you are pulling "Going to Pasalacqua" from. Maybe as an audible but why as a mainstay? Everything else seems plausible but I could do without Longview this tour, PLEASE, and something different besides KFOAD would be nice. I do think, as you stated, there will be a few Trill songs we didn't hear. I would love to see them mix it up for a change. Either way, it will be fantastic. And every tour since. You are definitely my favourite poster. #nokfadonthesetlist
That Dude Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I'm thinking mostly RevRad songs with a ton of singles. And of course the occasional live debut of some old stuff.

Buddy Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 So here's my setlist. I know, it's hard to predict it at this point, but it was fun thinking about it. I tried to not be too unrealistic. Well, maybe there are too many fast songs in there... (Intro: "Do you remember Rock 'n' Roll Radio?" by Ramones) 1.Revolution Radio 2. Know Your Enemy 3. New Song 4. Bang Bang 5. Holiday 6. Let Yourself Go 7. Boulevard of Broken Dreams 8. St. Jimmy 9. New Song 10. The Grouch 11. J.A.R. (Jason Andrew Relva) 12. She 13. New Song 14. New Song 15. American Idiot 16. Longview 17. Justin Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 If they wanna drop JOS that's cool with me. I feel like we'll hear very little lookout stuff this tour it'll all be new stuff. Im actually hoping they got back in to the trilogy again, If I could hear, loss of control, DRB, make out party, angel blue, nuclear family (again) baby eyes, wow that's loud, fuck time yknow the stuff they should have played
Stefano Bras Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I don't want to be mean, but most of the setlists you guys are posting seem SO unlikely to me, like zero chance.
tresexy101 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 1. Last Ride In 2. Night Life 3. Misery 4. Bang Bang (acoustic) 5. cover - I Fought The Law 6. Best Thing in Town 7. Like a Rat Does Cheese 8. cover - Right Hand O Rama 9. Revolution Radio (Billie Joe brings a fan in to sing the song) 10. Simpsons Theme song Encore Espionage
PoisonLemonade Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I personally want to see the whole set structure played with a bit. I've only seen them once out here in Australia so I don't have a load of experience but I'd like to see a set where you know you've been to the Revolution Radio tour and seen a modern Green Day show. As much as they have so many hits and deep cuts that we love to see I don't want to see them getting stuck in that trap and struggling to evolve their live show or get new songs in. As they are getting a little older I could see the days of the marathon gig possibly passing them. Cut a 33 song set down to a short sweet 20 song belter at most. I understand, this is extremely difficult with the material they have. There'd still be a slot for our favourite rarities (1000 hours, The Grouch, I Was There, Stuart and the Ave - to name a few personal ones.) But things like KFAD neeeeeeeeeeeed to go to make the show feel fresh and new again. Maybe try throwing AI back into the main set, even though it deserves the encore as one of the greatest modern rock songs. Maybe even save Bang Bang for the encore as its the lead single that we are all waiting to hear live? I haven't had a crack at writing a set yet but theres just a jumble of ideas in my brain.
Sixtrix Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 No one thinks Bang Bang will be the opener of the set? I think it's quite a possibility they will open with Bang Bang, with the band members taking the stage during the intro and then explode into the song.
punkangel Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Do you guys think they will drop the party medley with King For a Day? I wouldn't mind if they keep with that. I love it.

They might do it at least at the beginning of the tour. I think they will do it for the club shows.
