Not too fast, but fast enough to get things going. Also, (aside from the album name), the fact it's the Revolution Radio tour might mean something too?
AndrewW91 Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 I'm going to also guess they'll be opening with Revolution Radio. I honestly don't know what else to expect. I can't see them playing Know Your Enemy, at least not as the second song anymore.

I agree that this will likely be the opener, but I think Know Your Enemy and Holiday would be a perfect 2nd and 3rd song after this. I hope we here Bang Bang closer to the middle of the set after St. Jimmy.. It really feels like St. Jimmy Part 2 to me haha

Although, I'm not sure they'd play both. Maybe St. Jimmy will be a rarity on this tour..
miamiredhawk827 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 I feel like it's going to be a lot like the Irving Plaza show in 2012, but with less trilogy songs if any. http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/green-day/2012/irving-plaza-new-york-ny-3bdd9804.html
That Dude Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 I think they may show off more Insomniac tracks this time around. It fits with the new album's anger and would be a nice change. I want them to really showcase their entire career but I know it's tricky with as many songs as they have. 166 album cuts, plus at least 63 unreleased studio tracks (that we know of, probably 100's we don't know of)......and this is if you don't include all the side-projects. Green Day are nothing if not prolific. But back on topic, my hope is that even if they are doing an Insomniac / Revolution heavy set (versus the usual American / Dookie approach), they at least give us one track from each album. Or if the new songs are strong enough, play Revolution Radio all the way through with some deep cuts and hits from older albums. As for me, I'm screwed. My all time favorite songs by Green Day are almost entirely non-album tracks. Some that I'm hoping for that ARE possible are: Hitchin a Ride and Letterbomb.
Joe K Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 But if somewhere now is somewhat like Song of the century I'd expect them to open with that (with like the band hidden) and the second song would be revolution radio. That would be awesome!
SpikeSpiegel Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 On the last tour, they played Dookie full a few times. Like in Vienna where I was or Reading. Maybe they'll do it this time with American Idiot?

Semi-automatic lonely boy Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 i'll try a mix between my hopes and realism. a setlist that everyone would enjoy, all eras considered and kinda has a ncie flow. 1) New Song (probably Somewhere Now) 2) Bang Bang 3) Revolution Radio 4) American Idiot (without Bullshit, just play it in album length) 5) Holiday 6) Boulevard of Broken Dreams 7) Viva La Gloria! 8) Macys Day Parade (just like on the album) 9) Stay the Night 10) The Grouch 11) Stuck with me 12) No Pride 13) Stray Heart 14) Pulling Teeth 15) Dominated Love Slave 16) When I come around 17) Going to Pasalacqua 18) At the Library 19) Basket Case 20) She -------------------------------- 21) New Song 22) Murder City 23) American Eulogy 24) New Song 25) Worry Rock 26) Stuart and the Ave. 27) Christie Road --------------------------------- 28) New Song 29) X-Kid 30) Hold On 31) New Song 32) Whastername (full band) 33) Good riddance (electric guitar version)
xLumian Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Honestly hope they just play the new album start to finish for these smaller shows. It would be pretty awesome to hear them live before listening to the studio version. Oh, also want them to play Whatsername with the full band playing it. Year will be made.
Platypus2000 Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Homecoming is too much to ask isn't it? Would love Missing You or Scattered, either one and I'll be extremely happy.
FODatMSG Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 The best way to figure this out might be to go album by album: 39/Smooth - Going to Pasalacqua (Likely) Kerplunk - Welcome to Paradise (Lock), Likely 1 of Christie Road, Holden Caulfield or 2K Light Years Dookie - Longview/Basketcase/She (locks), When I Come Around (likely), Burnout/Coming Clean/FOD (maybe) Insomniac - Brain Stew (lock), Jaded/Geek (maybe) Nimrod - King for a Day (likely), Hitchin a Ride (maybe), Good Riddance (maybe) Warning - Minority (lock), Warning/Macy's Day (maybe) Idiot - Idiot/Jesus/Holiday (locks), Blvd/Letterbomb/Jimmy (maybe) 21CB - Know Your Enemy (maybe) Uno - Stay The Night/Let Yourself (maybe) Dos - Red Lights/Flash (maybe) Tre - 99 Revolutions (maybe), Brutal Love (maybe), X-Kid (maybe) RevRad - 7-10 new songs Am I missing any songs?
T.C Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Are you guys excluding 21 guns simply because you don't want it played? It was their last big hit. Most of the new gen associate them with it. It would be dumb of them to exclude it again.

RedundantIdiot Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Here's my predictions- by the way, none of my predictions on this forum have ever been right 39 Smooth- Going to Pasalacqua Kerplunk- Welcome to Paradise Dookie- Longview, Basketcase, When I Come Around. Possibly She Insomniac- Brain Stew. Possibly Walking Contradiction Nimrod- Scattered, Good Riddance. Possibly Nice Guys Finish last or Hitchin a Ride. I'd like to hear Redundant Warning- Minority. Possibly Waiting or Warning (I'd like to hear Warning) American Idiot- American Idiot, JOS, BOBD, WMUWSE. I'd like them to do Whatsername 21st Century Breakdown- Probably KYE. I'd like to hear 21 Guns Trilogy- Any of these songs: Oh Love, Brutal Love, Stay the Night or 99 Revolutions Revolution Radio- Obviously Revolution Radio and Bang Bang and another 4/5 songs

I think they'll open with RevRad. This is my prediction for new songs that will be played live: Somewhere Now, Bang Bang, Revolution Radio, Say Goodbye, Still Breathing, Youngblood and Ordinary World.

Lacky Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I'd like a setlits with some old stuff. For me, the perfect setlist could be the Irving plaza 2012 with Revolution radio's songs for the trilogy's hits . i've heard them live, but except from brutal love, that was really emotional, the other stuff didn't convince me live

House Of Wolves Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Does anyone think they will play the entire new album, a la AI and 21st? Knowing these venues are roughly 5k cap rooms, most of the people attending are probably hardcore fans. Hopefully they exploit this and dig into the deep cuts.
jingram Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I would LOVE to hear "Let Yourself Go" I can't tell you how many times I have listened to that when I had to shake something off 🤘
PullingTeeth Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I don't know what to think about RevRad being the opening song, it just feels weird to me, it's a great song but I don't see it as the opener. I loved it when they opened with Welcome to Paradise during the last tour, so I'm hoping for that even though it's unlikely. They played Stuart last year at the House of Blues, so that could be happening. I'm also hoping they will include some other songs from 1039/Kerplunk like they did at the House of Blues and Gilman, like Only of You and Private Ale for exemple. It would be great if they also included Are We the Waiting like at Gilman last year, live versions of this song always give me chills. I feel like they could close the show with Ordinary World and replace Good Riddance again ( ). I really wish for an acoustic encore with Words I Might Have Ate, Macy's Day Parade, Watsername and Redundant.
