^^^ What are you talking about?

Just don't get it. WHO made the video, IS it official, WHY hasn't GD uploaded it to Youtube, WHY is it on Vimeo, WHY do GD FB page post a link to it without any info?

It clearly isn't official, but rather some kind of clickbait...

Revolution Radio is done, with a negligible performance on active (#9) and an underwhelming but predictable run on alternative (top 30). It actually isn't plummeting on Alt like on Active, but I don't see it reaching anywhere higher.

They should pick the right singles instead of choosing the same songs they play live. I mean, if promoting the record is of any interest to them.

Still interesting though. Just has further convinced me off the fact that we need both the Forever Now video now and also an Outlaws video!

You're right, it isn't official, It comes from here: https://www.facebook.com/pg/lunavideo/videos/?ref=page_internal

Haven't talked to you for a long time, but you still thinkin that we'll get a live DVD from the tour?

Eh, I think for a third single 9-10 months in it did okay.  Of course I'd like to see higher numbers, but I'm not disappointed.  Would have loved to see the performances on Kimmel and Colbert released though.  That might have helped.

Well it did alright on Mainstream. I hope it get higher on Alternative. I never thought this single was going to do anything anyway. Forever Now might.

I think the Revolution Radio Era has been a whole lot of fun.  The album was good, the single choices were not totally stupid and they always put on one heck of a rock show.  Overall, another great Green Day Era.

The promotion of this era has been OK till now. However, I'm sad that there weren't unreleased tracks from CD singles (Bang bang just brought a Live recording of Letterbomb which was an AAF Bonus Track, and Still Breathing was just a CD Promo). No CD Single for Revolution Radio.... God, I miss the time when the band at least released 1 CD of any single.

Fully agree, but nowadays it doesn't make a lot of commercial sense to release CD singles, let alone with a non-album B-side. They haven't done that since 21CB. At least, they got the single choices right this time around. With regard to Forever Now, I'm stoked for a great, personal music video akin to Still Breathing's, but I don't think it will bolster record sales at this point. It ain't Jesus of Suburbia and even the latter's success paled in comparison to the success of American Idiot, Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

I would love this too. Still Breathing is a beautiful video and I was surprised it was as personal as it was because they usually like to keep it pretty universal. I guess it was a mix of both, and I would like to see that with Forever Now -- an expression of the meaning of the song as opposed to a video that has little to do with the song.

So ist that Billboards most current update on the Green Day tour? Because this show was in april. That's some days ago...

I saw an article in the Hollywood Reporter which refuses to allow me to copy the link here, that Avenged Sevenfold are leaving Warner Bros, and it appears from it that they are complaining about how rubbish they are at promoting rock music!

Anyone think that GD changing management to Crush is an indication of them also leaving WB?

hopefully. It's time, really.

The promotion overall was solid for this album, Green Day was really everywhere performing, it's just that their sound for this album is not consistent with what's popular at the moment. That's ok, but I hope Forever Now can get some play. I want to see what they do with that radio edit.

Rock is getting more traction recently, Portugal the Man is an indie band that figured it out. Twenty One Pilots, DNCE, Hozier, Cold Play, amongst others have found mainstream success recently with a rock sound. I can't help but think something like Stray Heart would do so much better now than it did in 2013. I feel like Green Day can find their way back, but at this point they've got nothing to prove, so it's more just me being selfish and wanting them to be massive again.

There was some discussion on the thread about them changing manager about record companies.  I have no idea if there is a link, just thought it was interesting as most folk here seem to think the promo has been poor for RevRad.

Would not consider Coldplay rock at all, but guess that's part of the problem with categorising bands.

Are Green Day leaving Warner Bros? Maybe that means we'll finally get some pro shot footage xD. As we know the GD promo team has actually waken up lately, but not much, and not nowhere near as good as they should be. We're in 2017 now. But yeh also i was wondering, is there any news on the Forever Now music video and the American Idiot movie?

They update every week, but it's not in chronological order.  If you look at Billboard's current boxscore, you see stuff from August and other stuff from February.  I'm not sure how it's released, if it's the venue's decision or what.

With this new social media approach, it's going to be extremely fun to see how the promo of the band's next album will go. Exciting!
