I can't find the article where he mentioned feeling done with Restless Heart Syndrome because I can't remember the actual quote, but it's probably in one of the 21st CB era articles on GDA. He definitely said it, I remember reading it and conversations about what he meant by it in the past.

Video where Billie is (actually only very mildly ) surprised by Tre picking H&H at 7:30. I think there was also another one where he was (more) surprised by him picking at as a song he wanted to play live that I can no longer find (somewhere in one of the millions of similar interviews they did around the release of the album), oh well

And a quote about Butch being the one who wanted H&H on the album from here:

"And Butch would also champion certain songs, like 'Horseshoes and Handgrenades'. I'd kind of forgotten about that one. You lose perspective because you're so close to the material and you start taking certain songs for granted. But Butch was like 'We're recording that goddamn song!'."

I'm confused why BJ would've forgotten about H&H. That to me is one of the songs on 21CB that stands out the most. It's probably my favourite album, not a bad song in there

Yeah I love it too, but there's no accounting for taste I suppose. Sounds like it just wasn't one of his favourites.
