21guns&novacaine Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I do wish my obsession with this album had lasted longer than it had. I'm not bored of it, really, just it didn't exactly hook me in an addictive way the way past albums have.
PursuitOfEpicness Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I do like the album a lot but I think when I look back like we said before a lot of them are kind of mellow. Only a few are really fast per say. I guess if I could change a few things I would want some more kickass songs like Bang Bang.
stories and songs Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I feel like I'm already very comfortable with this album. It doesn't feel new—it feels well worn and loved. It's like my coziest, best pair of jeans—fits perfect. At the same time, every time I listen to it I appreciate something different. Having lyric discussions here has definitely opened up some doors I didn't realize were there, plus I'm always noticing different aspects of the instrumentals or vocals each time. Somewhat unrelated, but the bizarre transition between Bouncing Off the Walls (I'm just using the "s" for the sake of my sanity) and Still Breathing now makes total sense to me. I like it, even. Weird.
tresexy101 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I listen to the album in my car, 4 cylinder, ya, that's right and I get rev'd up (pun intended) when listening to Bouncing Off. Dig the tune. I'm also, right now, f'd up on xanax and beer. So this will be a very dumb comment but I believe that the boys are at the top of their game with, now follow me here, the different sounds each and every song has. One song on RevRad could have it's own album if ya dig what I'm saying. I have to rake leaves tomorrow. The foliage looks beautiful though. I've said it before and I'll say it again.... great f'ing album. Time to go on porn hub and attack my beautiful penis. Peace and Love.

There are only a few songs that make me want to listen to them again and again. & two of my favorites, Somewhere Now and Outlaws, I have to be in the mood to listen to.

Weird. Bouncing Off the Walls through Forever Now is my favourite section of the album. I feel like it all knits in together nice and neat, made to fit and be listened to together. Not sure if that makes sense

(xanax and beer). Don't do drugs, kids.
stories and songs Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Agreed, I think I like the back half of the album better than the front half! But the beginning has Say Goodbye and Outlaws...deciding which part of the album you like best is a pretty good problem to have.

Haushinka - Forever Now should be right up there!! But I'm not you're brain.. I have an affection for Outlaws because, and I'm sure you all want to know, me and all my buddies reeked havoc on my small town, I have stories but I don't know if the statute of limitations have worn out. Sorry local Plaza, cars with eggs on them, chlorine bombs...I'll stop now - NSA is knocking on my door.
PursuitOfEpicness Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I'm still totally in love with Bang Bang and I'm really happy i'm not tired of it
tresexy101 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I really hope I'm not in the wrong topic but I listened to Howard Stern yesterday and a Stern fan asked how Green Day compared to Metallica live in the studio. Howard's sidekick Fred said he loved watching the drumming of Tre Cool and how awesome he was and all the faces he made. Howard agreed about the band being more energetic and I guess that's all I have to say. I love you all. I gotta go to bed. I have to rake fucking leaves tomorrow, mow the lawn, work, and deal with a hangover...grrr. Does the Pope have Holy poop? For real, just came to me...he's the Pope. The end of the world is coming and I wouldn't mind having holy poop on my person.
Dalya Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Too Dumb To Die is such an amazing song. It gradually becomes one of my top 3 favorites of the album.
MillenniumFan Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I love Forever Now, because it gives me some American Idiot vibes in the third part (you know when Billie sings: ''Oh I, don't want think about tomorrow'' for the second time and then ''I ain't gonna stand in line no more!''), while at the same time being fresh, new and exciting. The 3rd part, after the reprise of Somewhere Now sounds unlike anything else they've ever done, it would have been such a good way to end the album. For me, the album kind of ends after ''Forever Now''. I mean ''Ordinary World'' is a nice song, but it fells more like a bonus track or promotional song (which it kind of is) rather than a good way to end the album.
Tubbie Head Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 The only thing I dislike about this album is that it's so short. I'm always bummed when it reaches Ordinary World.
Second favourite son Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 11 hours ago, Wretched & Divine said: Forever Now is the most cohesive multi-part song they've ever written, and I say that as a do or die Jesus of Suburbia fan with biiiiig American Eulogy love. JOS may have beautifully stitched seams, but Forever Now is seamless.
aaaa Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Hi guys... Big trouble here. I can't stop listening to the album. I'm mean.. I listen in the morning, a couple times in the lunch time, during all the day, before sleep time (sometimes while I'm sleeping too). Some help, please?

DeJennsitized Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Still obsessed with this album. I said before that Outlaws was one of my least favourites but for some reason it's the one stuck in my head when I'm not listening to the album The second "if this is what you call the good life" in Forever Now gives me major chills with that added guitar.

Outlaws was my favourite song at the first listen, it was for me the easiest one to remember And yeah, Forever Now is a masterpiece
Marki. Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Yes I love that they decided to do all these amazing lyric videos.
Leni. Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 So it was added on Youtube 30 minutes ago and the video has 20 000 views? Cool.
Hermione Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Thread for discussing the Say Goodbye lyric video here : Was very enjoyable reading the last couple pages of this thread, feeling the love . I also can't stop listening to this album.
