You're just now listening? Man you got great strength to wait

Yeah, I preordered the vinyl so I'd rather have my first listen in as good quality as possible.

So I just finished listening to it...yeah, it's largely decent but not at all special. Bang Bang is the only one I'd say is outright great, though Tré is on fire throughout.

i suggest you listen to it again soon cause it's a grower. there are actually really great songs in it.

How does the vinyl sound?

I haven't compared it to CD and obviously I don't know any other versions for the whole album but Still Breathing is definitely a lot better on vinyl.

The Spotify Premium quality is much better than leaked version

I'm waiting to have my first listen on vinyl when I get home.  That way I'm hoping to avoid the temptation to skip Bang Bang and Revrad to get to the new stuff faster, and actually listen to the album as a whole for the first time through.  Knowing its at home is making me so excited though.

I know nothing about the technical side of recordings, but the actual album has far more depth to it than the leaked versions did. Sounds awesome.

Just bought the album today!

Can anyone make a CD-Rip? I want to hear a better quality of the album since in Spotify it sounds way more better than the leaked album.

Oh yeah. But to be honest someone has already probs uploaded the album on some torrent site so you will probably find a cd rip.

Welcome to the Revolution Radio era. I love the album. I love the sound of it , the lyrics, the singing, the musicianship, just everything. It's not a concept album but there are common threads throughout the lyrics and even melodies that recur, giving it a beautiful arc. Listen to the whole thing a few times front to back, and it gets better every time! Great stuff from Green Day!

Finally had time for my first listen and they didn't disappoint me at all! I truly love the record. Can already feel that some of the songs will truly grow on me with time and each listen, but I do honestly like all of them. Apart from the already known songs (Bang Bang, Revolution Radio, Still Breathing and Ordinary World), Say Goodbye, Outlaws and Forever Now jumped out most for me. Definitely one of their more creative albums. I especially fell in love with the lyrics, so much better than anything on the trilogy.

Will a FLAC version sound better than the cd version because it uses the vinyl mastering, which is different according to some members?

Wow, it's nice to hear that the actual album sounds even better than the leaked version! Too bad my download link doesn't work

For all the audiophiles of the forum, the record is also available in the FLAC format (and others) on HDtracks :)

So, what I asked above, does it make a difference in mixing too? Or is it just higher quality.

The master file might be different from the one used for iTunes/the leak/ecc. I'll buy a copy in the next hours, I'll let you know.

copy the link and then delete everything before the secure download portion then refresh and boom you'll have the download

There seems to be quite a few mistakes in the lyric booklet, like in Bouncing Off The Wall it says "concrete dream, I wanna hear you scream" where I'm sure Billie sings "Im gonna make a scene"

There will always be one consistency with Green Day: their lyric books are never accurate

It's at #1 on the iTunes albums sales right now! :D

Still really pissed that Warner sent me a broken download link in my pre-order email.  I've had the illegal version anyway, but I really want to listen to the official one NOW.

Mine doesn't have that, it just has click.e.wmg and redirects me to an error page :( Thanks though

Mine is doing the same :( I'm not understanding Tim's suggestion.  There is no "link" per se, just hte download now button.  And when I copy and past that URL I just get

INVALID LINK.
PLEASE TRY THE DOWNLOAD LINK MENTIONED IN THE E-MAIL.
