Wow that's one of the best comparisons I've ever seen. However, I loved Force Awakens but thought it was sort of a nostalgia film, whereas RevRad brings new stuff to the table and is a new direction, so I'd say it's more like Ep 8.

Please bring me to the future with you :D

It's not really fair to write off certain lines as just being stupid when someone might be able to offer up an interpretation for it. I'm not saying all of Billie's lyrics are brilliant or anything, but he is a very good writer and there's often deeper meaning in what he says if you examine it.

I agree with this explanation completely, btw! It also sort of goes along with the idea of how he says musicians feel unemployed when they're not recording or touring—going from working and traveling all the time to doing nothing must be a very strange feeling.

I thought he was referring to wearing white after labor day....punk rockers would be in fashion because they arent wearing white.....

I love to compare Green Day with Star Wars sooooo:

IV, V and VI: Dookie, AI and Nimrod
I, II and III: Uno, Dos, Tré

VII: Revolution Radio

lol

Episode III is the best SW, don't compare with the trillogy. lol

Uno, Dos and Tre are LOTR trilogy and AI, 21CB and RevRad are hobbit movies. :P

@DookieLukie Very true. The more I watch VII the more I'm like, "Well shit, this isn't very imaginative." (Which is fine, I love it anyway, but it's like...exactly the same as IV.) But it's like VII in the sense that Star Wars and Green Day are getting back to what fans want and what they're awesome at, while introducing new concepts and fresh perspectives.

This is the geekiest post I'll probably ever write.

He's only wrong because he said we shouldn't compare it with the Trilogy. ROTS is by far the best Star Wars movie :)

yup I know, it's 2016 and the people still don't accept that Episode III is a good movie. ;)

It's a good movie, but it's not better than any of the original trilogy's movies, there are no bad SW movies :P
As well as the Trilogy is a good "record", but it's not better then any previous GD records, there are no bad GD records :P

Ok this is my last off topic post :D

Also, this is one of Billie's best vocal performances, up there with 21stCB.

Steven seagull is George Lucas. He'll want Jar jar in the the next green day album

I like that his vocals are so diverse on this. On some he sounds softer and more trained, on other songs he sounds raw and emotional, and on others he sings rougher in the way that he did on earlier records.

Can't understand why people say that about Still Breathing. It's my favorite song Green Day has ever written...and it's by a pretty wide margin too.

Wow man, that's a bold call.

He would remaster Dookie adding the trilogy vocal filters.... hahahaha ok, I stop, I swear, sorry but if you mix Green Day and Star Wars I lose control

We already got Bang Bang, I think Jar Jar would be a smart upgrade of their music.

Jar Jar give me jam

Or cookies with some raw ham

I like the Trilogy. X-Kid, Stray Heart, Brutal Love, Lazy Bones, Nuclear Family, Rotten Bastards, Walk Away very good songs, but I see like a GD b-side. I don't compare with previous records.

For me the timeline is AI > 21stCB > RevRad ;)

Steven Seagull is basically the Jar Jar of gdc. Kinda funny some of the time, but more often incredibly annoying.

 :)

Seagull is a troll for sure because he always goes for the worst side of the arguments. The "OMG Prequel lightsabers so cool" is one of the most mocked opinions in existence.

Outlaws is the song that keeps creeping into my mind as I'm working, and considering I find most other songs on RevRad more catchy, this is confusing.
