Cigarettes and Valentines should be the last song they make that sounds excatly like burnout. It gets old. But I'm intrigued in hearing that it's a raw recording. I think it'd be difficult for reviewers to get that wrong "Raw" in A-list music-biz terms is pretty much American Idiot production values.

Steven Seagull Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 "Just heard 'Bang 'Bang' Massive tune!! Felt like I was back at Gillman Street circa 1992" Wow excited!

I'm so psyched, older sound with hopefully political strong lyrics, dang. For those of you who thought by the reviewer saying the single was like Dookie he meant it sounded like the trilogy... Wouldn't he just say it sounded like the trilogy? Lol Because world outside our bubble has no idea what Trilogy is
Lacky Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 When someone starts to compare every single thing in the world with the Trilogy...
Chanderson Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I think it's stupid to compare it to any album. Maybe the production or sound will have similarities to past albums, but it will still be new. Out of the 11 albums so far, all of them have their own personality and distinct sound while still holding on to that Green Day feel. Album 12 will be no exception, having specific aspects that set it apart from past albums while still being Green Day.

Sixtrix Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Can't wait for the single to be out so everyone can stop comparing it with the trilogy or express their concerns of it sounding like the trilogy.

matteo263 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Weird that its not chris lond alge... But hey, that singals that they are indeed going for something different.
Sixtrix Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Check his discography, quite interesting! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Scheps
matteo263 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Adele s 21 and stadium arcadium by RHCP are on his list. Love the way they're mixed. Interesting how Chris doesn't mention who produced it. (If anyone did)

But thoughts go through my mind if Rick Rubin is still a possibility since he also produced Adele and Red Hot Chili Peppers

matteo263 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Apparently he mixed the godzillla version of Brain Stew
Sixtrix Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Andrew Scheps on Facebook: "I mixed the shit out of this song. Can't wait for it to come out!!!"
Second favourite son Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 He clearly has experience mixing all sorts of different music styles. Ultimately the producer matters more, since they decide what direction they want the mix to take, but it's reassuring to know that, whichever way that is, it's probably done very well by someone well experienced.
