Who knows, maybe it's because of how they have kept things out of publicity this time around. The news of Green Day's return might catch most of the world off guard once it officially starts rolling out with album announcement and release date. And they will fucking know they are back god dammit.

Yeah I'd say it's fair to say Butch Vig made a bigger impact as a producer than Rob did. 21st CB would've been so much different if Rob produced it and probably not in a better way

I honestly don't pay attention to any "issues" or drama surrounding the producer unless the band comes out and says something about it. I noticed that the production on the Trilogy wasn't my cup of tea, but I didn't go "oh the producer probably did that on purpose to fuck Green Day," holy shit, what a wild leap of speculation
