Yes, but my point is they have seen the album artwork and heard the album.  We are hearing the lead single in 10 days, I would bet money, and alot of it, that industry insiders saw and heard everything a long time ago.

Interview the band then. The official news was only released today and it probably takes some time to get a story like that ready. I do know what you're saying though, they've heard it all before we got the news. Hell, I don't know.

I think, and hope, it's more a matter of hours. I mean, why not write a short article like Billboard or Alt Press have done, if you're going to release a coverage just after a few days?

I think Billie's Instagram  post was very reactionary, kind of similar to when the information about Demolicious leaked, forcing them into confirming it. Iv think between now and the 11th there will be a bigger, better reveal, rather than just a confirmation from Billie, and a lazy screenshot and caption of Billie's Tweet by the band-s official IG account.

The official news was released to US.  Industry insiders have known about this alot longer.  That is my point, you can't assume that the magazines, and other insiders are learning about this the same time we are.  They are not.

I know. I got that now. But do you know how long before us? If the radio is getting it on Wednesday? I know the radio and the Rolling Stone are not the same, but my point is that they might still be writing the story or waiting for it to be released tomorrow or sometime this week. They might not. I have no idea, I'm not an expert. I'm taking guesses.

I have no idea on that.  However, my guess would be that they are waiting for big articles until after the premiere of the song.  I would also guess that the articles are already written.  Again, just guesses on my part as well.

I don't believe it was reactionary. I think it was half-assed by GreenDay.com, but I think they intended to announce it Sunday through Instagram. I'm sure there will be more from the label and hopefully through their site in the future.

It's pretty certain that RS of all publications would have listened to the song already, maybe even previewed more of the album. I'm sure they haven't released something because they are working on a larger story. They've always been the go-to publication for the in-depth interviews with Green Day.

I can promise you that trying to assume information based off of one previous instance will get you nowhere. You're better off putting up a calendar of August 1-11 and throwing darts at it.

They're bi-weekly, and an issue came out last week, so a new one should be coming out next week. The date on the last issue was actually August 11th, so the date on the next one should be august 25th so it'll probably come out on the 11th, same date as the single release

also, this thread kinda reminds me of when I was 14 and warning was about to come out. I got on napster and tried to find a leak of some songs and I ended up downloading a song that was labeled as being on warning but it just ended up being 2nd Street by Pinhead Gunpowder. now I feel old. seriously, I just brought up napster.

Oh God you are not old. I remember being four years out of COLLEGE and  first hearing about Green Day  as  those  crazy punks at Woodstock who started a mudfight....
